Collaborative PIP Methodology : / Don Grostic (HSAG) reviewed the collaborative PIP methodology and highlighted the changes made from feedback from during the June 25th conference call. Liz from Hope Life Care requested that “and” be changed to “or” in Study Indicator 1. Don also discussed the Baseline measurement period. Various NHDPs provided different scenarios illustrating concerns regarding late enrollment and late referrals. Additional potential exclusions for the member population were raised and discussed; however, at this point, no further exclusions will be added.
A recommendation was made by Cheryl Young from DOEA for DOEA and HSAG to meet to further discuss late referrals.
A decision was made by all participants that a statement will be added to the methodology that reads “If a member disenrolls and is no longer receiving services, then re-enrolls into the NHDP as a new enrollee, this member should be included in the study and can be counted again.”
Don discussed the exploratory nature of this new collaborative PIP and the learning opportunities that will occur after the collection of Baseline data. He reported that study indicators can be dropped as the study moves forward if they prove to be of no value once the Baseline data has been analyzed. / HSAG to make the “and” to “or” change
