IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS
PICTURE DAY - We will have picture day on October 3, 2012 for all 6th and 7th grade students. Students are not allowed to wear casual wear on this day. All students will be required to wear their regular uniforms as usual.

NWEA TESTING
All 6th and 7th grade students will continue testing the NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) test the week of September 23rd.. Thank you for your support in ensuring that your child is fully rested and is prepared for testing during testing days.
REMINDERS
UNIFORMS
Parents we’re in our 4th week of school, please make sure that our students are in complete standard uniform Monday-Thursday. Our standard uniform is IDEA red/burnt orange polo, shirt tucked in, khaki pants, black shoes and black belt. Friday is college or spirit day and your child may wear jeans, college or spirit shirt tucked in with black shoes and black belt. Thank you for ensuring we get 100% every day from all our students.
v School Time:
Drop-off Time is at 7:15. Breakfast is served in the classroom 7:30 – 7:45am.
Instruction Time starts at 7:45am.
Pick-Up Time is at 3:45pm.
v Transportation
NO more transportation changes will be allowed effective Sept. 3, 2012. Students will either ride the bus, be picked up by parents, or attend Boys & Girls Club.

TEACHER’S CORNER
MANDATORY TUTORIALS have been assigned to students needing additional help in mastering concepts in a specific content area. The success of your child is a top priority and we will do whatever it takes to help every child become successful. If you have any questions regarding after school tutorials, please reach out to his/her homeroom teacher. Thank you for all your support!
7th grade Mandatory Tutoring Schedule
Math & English Language Arts:
Monday-Wednesday: Mandatory tutoring for assigned students
Thursday-Open tutoring for all students (teacher’s discretion)
WEST WING is in full effect! Students who fail to present completed homework during their homeroom class are required to stay after school. We provide the extra support to help develop a strong sense of academic responsibility. West Wing may be assigned for reasons including incomplete homework, forgotten homework and no parent signature. West Wing is a support system designed to help your child be successful 100% everyday!
Note: West wing promptly begins at 4pm; students will be dismissed at exactly 5pm. Please be on time to pick up your child at the rear of the middle school building.
