Section B - General details relating to the Funded Early Learning for 2 year olds and the Free Entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds (to be explained to the family by the Provider)

  1. The Free Entitlement is designed to offer every 3 and 4 year old child, irrespective of background, access to two years of Early Learning and Childcare Provision before reaching compulsory school age.
  2. The Free Childcare and Education for 2 year olds is designed to offer all eligible, approved 2 year old children up to one year of Early Learning and Childcare Provision.
  3. Families cannot be required to pay any fee for any element of their child’s Free Childcare and Education orFree Entitlement, either directly or indirectly or have any financial condition imposed as part of the acceptance of a child into the place.
  4. Families cannot be charged in advance for the Free Childcare and Education for 2 year olds or theFree Entitlement even where the charges are to be refunded at a later date.
  5. Every eligible child is entitled to access a maximum of 570 hours of Free Childcare and Education or Free Entitlement across three Funding Blocks in a year following a child’s Birthday, on the following basis:
  • A maximum of 15 hours per week over a minimum of 2 days per week
  • A maximum of 10 hours in a single day
  • A minimum of 2½ continuous hours in any one day
  • Take all or part of their Free Childcare and Education for 2 year olds orFree Entitlement at a single setting or a maximum of two settings (including Maintained Sector schools).

1 / I understand that if I choose to access the Free Childcare and Education for 2 year olds or the Free Entitlement at a setting offering fewer than 570 hours of Free Childcare and Education or Free Entitlement per year, Northamptonshire County Council has no obligation to make arrangements to provide additional hours to ensure my child receives the maximum entitlement over a year. / Yes/No

This information will be stored on a database to provide the County Council with minimum data requirements to run Free Childcare and Education for 2 year oldsand the Free Entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds.

The personal data we collect may be held as an electronic record on data systems managed by Northamptonshire County Council (NCC) or as a paper record. The records are only seen by staff who needthepersonal dataso they can do their job. The security of the data follows NCC policies on Information Management.
We make every effort to keep your personal data accurate. If you tell us of any changes in your circumstances, we can update the records with the personal data you choose to share with us.
We will keep the personal data for no longer than is necessary. Sometimes, the law sets the length of time personal data must be kept.

Sharing personal data
So we can provide the right services at the right level, we may share your personal data within county council services or with relevant organisations in line with NCC data registration, please see link above. Where this is necessary we will comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act 1998.

Your rights
You have the right to ask us to stop processing your personal data in relation to any council service. However, this may stop us delivering a service to you. Where possible, we will do as you ask, but we may need to hold or process personal data to comply with a legal requirement.
