Mandatory Academic Advisement:
We encourage all Civil and Environmental (CEE) students to meet with an advisor if you have any questions or concerns about your academic progress towards your degree program. At this time the department of Civil and Environmental Engineer (CEE) has implemented Mandatory Advisement for incoming freshman, graduating seniors, and students that are not in “good” academic standing. Mandatory Advisement is our way of making sure our students are in a position to be the most successful and matriculate towards graduation.
Warning/Probation
As part of our Mandatory Advising Program, all Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) students that are not in good academic standing are REQUIRED to meet with an academic advisor each semester until you are back in “good academic standing.” During this meeting you will receive tools that will assist you in improving your academic skills, leading to academic success. We will guide you to campus resources that are available in assisting you with improving your grades and GPA. Finally we will calculate what semester GPA you need to get back in good academic standing. If you fail to meet with an advisor a HOLD will be placed on your file that semester.
