From DWO PCSO Adam Charles:

Dear Residents

Please find below the crime record for the period from 1st August to 15th August.

Although figures were generally low it is very worrying to see the bike robbery at the junction of Malmains Way & Brabourne Rise. It was very pleasing to see that intervention from two local residents prevented the bikes being stolen and enabled police to be on scene quickly. I've spoken to both residents on the phone and thanked them.Unfortunately the suspects escaped butwe've been carrying out CCTV enquiries.

Regarding the recent theft from motor vehicle in Malmains Way, this shows that if you can see your vehicle from a distance when it is unlocked there is still ample time for someone to get in and steal items. If you have a solo workman at your house and he needs to go back and forth with several lots of tools it may be an idea to offer to go and stand next to his vehicle as this would deter potential thieves.

Very pleasing to see that we've had a burglary free fortnight. Let's hope this continues.

Please contact us as appropriate by 999, 101, SNT phone or email as shown below. Thank you for all your help & support.

Kind Regards

Adam
