A Benefit for Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers

The Hogback Hustle is the fifth of six races in the Colorado River Valley Charity Race Series!

The race starts at the New Castle City Market parking lot, winds around Castle Valley Blvd. to 7th Street, back to Main Street and finishes at Burning Mountain Park across from the post office in downtown New Castle. Water and breakfast will be provided at the finish line.

Runners will be asked to line up at the start line first and walkers will be asked to line up toward the back. All participants will begin at the same time. Results will be posted and prizes will be distributed as soon as possible after all participants have crossed the finish line.

The pre-registration fee is $20. T-Shirts and goodie bags will be provided on race day to the first 75 people to register. There will also be a pancake breakfast provided for all racers after the race. Please check in at the registration table and pick up your bib number. You may register on race day from 7:00 – 7:35 am. A $5 late registration fee will apply for those participants registering on race day for the 5k.

AGREEMENT AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Hogback Hustle 5K Race, in New Castle Colorado, I, ______hereby agree as follows:

1.  I hereby Release and Discharge The Town of New Castle, New Castle Recreation Department, New Castle Burning Mountain Festival Committee and their officers, directors, agents, employees, volunteers (collectively referred to as “Released Parties”), from any and all liability, claims, demands or causes of action that I may hereafter have for injuries or damages arising out of my participation in the Hogback Hustle 5K Race, including but not limited to, losses caused by the negligence of the released parties.

2.  I further agree that I will not sue or make a claim against the Released Parties for damages or other losses sustained as a result of my participation in the Hogback Hustle 5K Race. I also agreed to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from all claims, judgments and costs, including attorneys’ fees, incurred in connection with any action brought as a result of my participation in the Hogback Hustle 5K Race. This includes any claim for indemnity or contribution brought against the Released Parities.
