CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Taiwan Occupational Therapy Association will host an international conference from Dec. 12th 2015 to Dec. 13th 2015. We invite researchers to submit abstracts for presentations during the conference.

  • Presentation types

You are invited to submit the abstracts to report on research findings, case studies, unique practice experiences, professional innovation and issues related to Occupational Therapy. The presentations can be in the formats of oral or poster presentation.

Oral presentation / Poster presentation
Ø  Either in Mandarin Chinese or English
Ø  10 minutes presentation followed by 5 minutes of discussion (including question and answer session).
Ø  Presented by PowerPoint.
Ø  The speaker for the presentation should be from any of the authors listed on the abstract submission. / Ø  Either in Traditional Chinese or English
Ø  Authors being accepted will be notified the details of the poster formats.
Ø  The presenter should be from any of the authors listed on the abstract submission.

Please indicate your preference of presentation type while submitting the abstract; the Scientific Programme Committee will consider your preference. However, the Committee reserves the right to assign oral presentation or poster presentation to the accepted abstract, depending on its content, time arrangement, and the balance of the abstract categories.

General instructions

Ø  Abstracts should be submitted on-line ONLY, please submit your abstracts via the conference website.

Ø  The presenter can present in Chinese or English. Please indicate your preferred language while submitting the abstract.

Ø  The confirmation e-mail of your submission will be sent to the corresponding author in one week after the submission. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail, please submit again or contact

Submission contents

Ø  The submitted contents should not have been published in any public presentation before.

Ø  Applicants should indicate the language for presentation. For Chinese presentations, abstracts can be submitted in both Chinese and English; for English presentations, abstracts should only be submitted in English.

Ø  Please indicate one major theme of your contents within the seven categories (Pediatric, Physical Health, Mental Health, Elderly and Aging, Work and Industry, Community and Long-term care, and innovative practices).

Ø  Submissions should include the following:

A)  Title of the abstract [maximum of 20 words]; Chinese abstract should also include its English title.

B)  Names of all authors

C)  Corresponding author [Not limited to the first author]

D)  Presenter [can be from any of the authors listed in the abstract]

E)  Affiliations and Contact details of authors

[Including organization/institution, city and country, e-mail address, work phone number]

F)  Contents of the abstract [Maximum 500 words for both written in Chinese or in English]

G)  NO images, tables or graphs are allowed in abstract submissions.

H)  See the example in the appendix.

Ø  Please download the template at the conference website. Your abstract should be completed with the provided template, saved with Microsoft Word format, and then submitted via the conference website. Name the file after the last name of the first author and the number of submission, e.g. Chang(1).doc, Liu(1).doc, Liu(2).doc
