Secretary
Mr. Marks, your meeting starts in five minutes sir!
Hank
Thank you Gloria!
Hank grabs the folder and heads to the meeting room.

Hank rushes to the table and finds a seat to sit in. he sets the folder on the table. The door opens and a man with no hair dressed in a suit comes walking in.
Mr Warner
Hank Marks! I trust that you have everything?
Hank
Yes sir!
Mr. Warner walks over and sits down and picks up the folder. He skims through it and sets it back down.
mr warner
I don’t want to stress that those files are very time sensitive!
Hank
No sir, I have them all here!
mr warner
When I was a young lad I knew what I wanted out of life. I knew how to get it! But I also knew the cost.
Hank
Sir, I know what I want out of life!
Mr. Warner gets up and walks around the room with his back to Hank.
mr warner
You see Mr. Marks, there are people out there who would kill for this job. Just to make your pay.
Hank
Um, sir am I fired?
mr warner
Of course not! But you are taking a little time off! I want you to relax and keep your eyes open. Get to know who you are.
Mr. Warner walks over to the door and leaves.
Hank
My life sucks.
Hank gets up and walks out the door leaving his folder on the table.

Hank
Something is not right!
Hank is now standing on the street near a burning barrel.
Hank
Where am I?
He looks at his hands and he is wearing old worn out gloves. He looks down at his feet and sees that he is wearing an old pair of shoes.
Hank
What is going on? This has got to be a dream!
Hank sees Mr. Warner walk by. Hank runs up to him.
Hank
Mr. Warner! My name is Hank Marks do you remember me?
mr warner
I’m sorry, I’ve never met you before!
Hank walks away from Mr. Warner and heads back to the burning barrel.
Hank
My life is over!
A man walks up to Hank dressed the same as him.
Barney
Hello sir, mind if I use you’re barrel to get warm?
Hank
Go ahead.
Barney
Thank you Hank!
Hank
How did you know my name?
Barney
I know more than that! It seems weird huh? One minute your in an office and the next your on the street!
Hank
How did you?
Barney
You said your life was over. Now you get a glimpse of how bad others really have it!
Hank
How did this happen?
Barney
You’ll understand soon!
Barney walks away. Hank stands there and watches as he walks away.
Hank
Hey!
Barney turns around.
Hank cont
Where are you going?
Barney
Back to work!
Hank runs up to him.
Hank
Can I come with you?
Barney
I guess it would be all right.
cut to:
ext – building
Hank and Barney walk up to a large building.
Hank
What is this place?
Barney
The building of life! It all starts here! This is where it gets decided who does what with their life.
Hank
Is this were my life was decided?
Barney
Of course!
hank
Can I talk with someone from inside?
Barney
I think it should be ok!
They both walk inside of the building

Barney
Just take a seat an I’ll get someone for you to talk to!
Hank sits down and Barney leaves the room.
Hank
This place looks familiar.
The door opens and in walks a bald headed man.
Hank
Mr. Warner!
mr warner
Good afternoon! How can I help you today?
Hank
I used to work for you, and now I’m homeless.
mr Warner
Ah yes! You see you use to file papers for me, but you fell behind. Then after our meeting, you said your life sucked!
Hank
So why am I homeless?
Mr warner
Hank, you did a great job! But after you started to complain, we decided to show you how bad it could be!
Hank
So I’m not homeless?
mr warner
You came to us for a job, all we told you is we needed some one to file papers. Did you ever read any of those papers?
hank
No!
mr warner
Those papers were the final notes on other people’s lives. You were falling a tad behind.
Hank
So you put me on the streets?
mr warner
Why did you come here?
hank
I want my job back, I want my life back!
mr warner
When you were here, you had no life, you were not ever known to anyone out side of this building. As far as getting your job back. It is not up to me.
Hank
Then who is it up to?
Mr warner
It is up to him.
Hank
Him? Who is he?
mr warner
Him is the one humans call God.
Hank
So can I talk to him?
mr warner
It is highly irregular! But I will check and see.
Mr. Warner walks over to a screen and picks up the phone. He hangs it back up.
mr warner
Well today is your lucky day. Wait here and he will be here soon.
Hank is sitting in the chair waiting.
Hank
So all I have to do is talk with him?
mr warner
No, he will look at you and know!
Hank
Wait! If he looks at me and says no, what happens?
mr warner
You go back to the streets to live out your life!
Hank
Oh boy!
The door opens and a man in a white robe comes walking in.
God
Hello!
Hank
Mr. Warner said I could not talk to you!
God
You see Hank, I created so much, but I am only one god! I need people like you to help run this place.
Hank
But because I said my life sucked, I get sent to the streets! Is that fair?
God
Along time ago, I gave two humans life, I offered them everything, but because a snake told them to disobey me they did, is it fair that I banish them?
hank
Yes sir! I understand.
God
Your life is what you make it!
Hank
I will do better I promise!
god
I will give you a second chance!
God nods his head, he walks out of the door.
Mr warner
Things will return to before the meeting.
