Job purpose

As a key member of the PS2 Communications Hub, support the delivery of Sightsavers’ digital communication strategies and plans as they apply to PS2, with a particular focus on campaigning.

Principal accountabilities:

PS2 Communications and Digital Support (40%)

  • In collaboration with the PS2 Communications Manager, Digital Editor, and Digital Campaigner provide high quality digital content solutions across all communication channels.
  • Working with the digital functions in the Fundraising Directorate and broader Communications Teams help develop and maintain the quality, coherence and consistency of PS2 digital content across all digital platforms, ensuring that it follows strategic messaging.
  • Draft content as required.
  • Ensure digital content is delivered to time and within budget.
  • Working with Content Strategist and Content Producer make effective and creative use of programme content and information flowing into the organisation, brainstorming and planning activity.

Put Us in the Picture Policy Campaign (60%)

  • Responsible for developing, reviewing and managing Put Us in the Picture campaign and PS2 pages and user journeys on the Sightsavers website.
  • Implement the campaign supporter engagement strategy taking a lead on building and creating campaign supporter emails; managing campaign supporter groups and subgroups.
  • Working closely with the Digital Campaigner, Digital Editor (PS2) and Digital Editors and Social Media Manager create and manage web and digital recruitment and engagement tools.

  • A degree or relevant experience.

Skills and experience:

  • Working within a busy, multi-disciplined team.
  • Experience of using digital systems.
  • Writing and editing for digital media
  • Content Management Systems (open-source desirable)
  • Email delivery systems and Customer Relations Management (CRM)
  • Adobe Photoshop or image manipulation software
  • Proofreading skills
  • Digital project coordination
  • Good time management and a track record of meeting multiple requirements and deadlines.
