JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Customer Satisfaction Survey Officer

Salary: £10,400 per annum

Hours: 20 hrs per week

Accountable to: Chief Executive of Age UK Harrow

Job Purpose:

·  The post holder will be responsible for assessing the satisfaction of service users with the care packages/reablement service they receive in their own homes by arrangement with the London Borough of Harrow.

·  The project holder will also be responsible to do annual satisfaction surveys for the organisation services and volunteers.

·  The work of undertaking face-to-face surveys will mainly be undertaken by volunteers whom the Project officer will help recruit, train, support and supervise.

Duties:

1.  Develop project plan and work programme

2.  Develop training programme for volunteers

3.  Recruit, train, supervise and support a team of 10 volunteers in interviewing/consumer surveying skills

4.  Ensure that the team of volunteers adequately reflects local demography, that some volunteers are fluent in Gujerati, and link with our MEEP Advice service/Borough interpretation services if access to other languages is required

5.  Liaise with LB Harrow Contracts Unit to develop interview questions and redesign questionnaires as changes in contracts occur.

6.  Liaise with line manager to develop survey questions for the organisation surveys.

7.  With the support of volunteers, test the interview questions on a 1% sample of service users for the LB Harrow.

8.  Develop methodology to select a 10% sample of clients (or % required by Harrow Council)

9.  Develop methodology to select an annual 10% sample of clients/volunteers (or % required by Age UK Harrow)

10.  Collate results of interviews and analyse these

11.  Compile report from interview results of the Council Survey focusing on:

·  Identifying areas of dissatisfaction

·  Monitoring changes in service delivery

·  If dissatisfaction is identified, investigate whether service users have complained. If they have, confirm whether they are happy with the outcome of the resultant investigation. If they have not complained, ascertain why not and get it reported to the Council.

12.  Complete monitoring information and present results as required.

13.  Highlight key issues to the Chief Executive by email on council surveys.

14.  Collaborate with Borough staff and support any plans they may have to expand the project to cover other contracted services for older people and/or to transfer the model to other service user groups

15.  To attend training courses relevant to the post as agreed with the Chief Executive.

16.  To work with other members of staff on an exception basis to cover general office duties as necessary particularly during holiday times

17.  Attend meetings as and when required by the Funder.

18.  Attend and help with events/funding raising as and when required.

19.  Complete any monitoring or evaluation forms as required by the funders.
