AWARD OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (JRF) AT DMRL, HYDERABAD

Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory was established at Hyderabad in 1963 to meet the needs of complex materials for modern defence applications with a mission to develop advanced materials, innovative process technologies and related product engineering supported by basic and applied research. The vision of DMRL is to be a centre of excellence for providing total material solutions for defence systems.

Applications are invited for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) at DMRL, Hyderabad, as per the details given below-

(a)  These fellowships are for a maximum period of Five (05) years.

(b)  Junior research fellows will be offered a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/- for 1st and 2nd year and 3rd year (if retained as JRF). H.R.A at 30% and medical facilities will be applicable as per rules.

(c)  The tenure of the JRF will be initially for a period of 2 years and will be extendable for 3rd, 4th and 5th year based on candidate’s performance. The fellowship shall not exceed 5 years.

(d)  The age limit for JRF is 28 years as on the date of the interview. The age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

General Conditions:

1.  Only candidates who have completed the course and possess degree/provisional certificate are eligible to apply. However, a candidate appearing for the final year BE/B. Tech is also eligible to apply although the fellowship shall be awarded only after the candidate receives the provisional certificate for the B.E/B. Tech. degree.

2.  The selected candidates may be allowed to register for Ph.D with any University/Institution during the tenure of the fellowship.

3.  Eligible candidates may apply for the fellowship by sending the duly filled application form as e-mail attachment to on or before 07.12.2015. Application form can be downloaded from the DMRL website (http://www.drdo.gov.in/drdo/labs/DMRL/English/index.jsp?pg=homebody.jsp).

4.  The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an interview at DMRL, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad – 500 058. Interview date and time will be informed in due course by e-mail.

5.  Candidates will be required to produce all certificates/testimonials, community certificate, if applicable, in original during the interview. They must also bring a set of attested Photocopies of all testimonials along with two recent passport size colour photographs for appearing in the interview.

6.  The candidate also needs to produce a Photo-identity proof in original (along with a photo copy) such as Adhaar Card/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Voter Id etc. at the time of interview.

7.  The award of fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO under any circumstances.

8.  Candidates working in Govt. organization / Public sector undertaking / Autonomous bodies should produce no objection certificate to attend the interview.

9.  No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining, if selected.
