Dear Band and Guard Parents, Students, and Friends,
Did you win big in the Showcase Raffle last year? Some people did AND had a great time fueling this last big fundraiser of the school year!
The Showcase and Raffleis April 11th, 2016. The goal is to generate over $7,000. These are funds critical to the band’s ability to travel and compete at the level they’ve earned.
Other bands make parents and kids sell stuff…wrapping paper, magazines, cookie dough, etc. Our band makes it MUCH easier and more fun for each parent to participate in the critical support of our band.
This letter is a call out to EVERY family to secure at least a $50 valuein raffle items– potentially at no out of pocket cost to you! Here’s a few ideas:
- We all spend heavily at local merchants. Over the next 3 weeks, while you are shopping/eating/drinking, working out, or getting pretty/handsome - ask the business to pleasedonate a gift card to support the award winning Clements Band/Guard (see Sponsor letter).
- Or ask…if you buy a gift card, will they match the donation with the same amount or more.
- Or you donate to the Booster club, so the funds can be pooled to buy high impact raffleitems.
Items needed from parents and merchants include:

Game system, itunes, ebay or gift cards / Spa, Salon Gift Certificates (hair, nails, etc.)
Theater, live music, or comedy club tickets / Coffee, fast food, smoothie, yogurt gift cards
Vacation Home Stays (Big winner in past) / Limo service
Movie Gift Certificates / Gym, yoga, studio, or massage gift cards
Electronics (tablets, Phones, readers, etc.) / Clothing or accessory store cards
It’s easy to do. Give them the Sponsor letter from the Booster website. It’s a thank you and a receipt for their donation. If you’d like to assure we get proper thank you notes out to our donors, please email donor contact information to our committee chairs below.
Deadline is March 28th. Gift cards and checks donations can be dropped in the band hall mailbox, in an envelope marked ShowcaseRaffle Donation on the front. Or we can pick them up.
Checks should be made to: CHS Band and Guard Booster Club.
This is a great (and easy) opportunity to support your kids in band. (No moving of marching equipment or travel involved!). Thank you in advance for your support.
