Sunday, Oct. 18

We depart by motorcoach from New London and East Lyme for our overnight flight to Budapest.

Monday, Oct. 19 - Budapest

Arrive in Budapest for overnight stay. Balance of the day is on your own.

Tuesday, Oct. 20 – Budapest

Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Budapest before we board our river cruise vessel, the Avalon Vista and meet our crew at a welcome reception. (D)

Wednesday, Oct. 21 –Budapest - Vienna

Enjoy a day of relaxation on board and marvel at the beautiful scenery on both banks of the Danube. Hungary is on your left as you cruise upriver and Slovakia is on your right. The two countries share the Danube for a 58 mile stretch, with the border in the middle of the river. This evening, arrive in Vienna, Austria’s capital. Known as the “City of Music” an optional concert is offered. (B,L,D)

Thursday, Oct. 22 - Vienna

Once the center of the mighty Habsburg Empire, Austria’s magical capital on the blue Danube is a showcase of gilded architecture. This is home to the lavish Hofburg Imperial Palace complex with its Vienna Boys’ Choir and dazzling Lipizzaner stallions. We will see the Vienna Opera House and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. (B,L,D)

Friday, Oct. 23 – Durnstein - Melk

Durstein, known for the magnificent baroque, blue Stiftskirche built in the 1700s, is situated right in the heart of the Wachau wine region. This morning your local guide will take you on an included walking tour. During lunchtime, sail the picturesque Wachau Valley and arrive in Melk in the early afternoon. Visit the 11th- century Benedictine Abbey, one of Europes largest monasteries. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. This evening we can sample some of Wachau Valley’s famous wines. (B,L,D)

Saturday, Oct. 24 – Passau, Germany

Today, you can choose from several full-day optional excursions: to Salzburg taking in some of the Sound of Music sights, the popular “Romantic Austria” tour, or to medieval Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. Or, you may choose to stay on the ship and relax as you cruise to Passau, located where the Inn, Ilz, and the Danube Rivers converge. Passau is a maze of narrow cobblestone streets lined with beautiful patrician houses. Take in the highlights on the included guided walk. (B,L,D)

Sunday, Oct. 25 – Regensburg

One of Germany’s best preserved medieval cities. Established during the Holy Roman Empire and the only German city not bombed during WWII. Highlights of our guided walk include the Altes Rathaus built in the 13th century, and Porta Pretoria, gates to an ancient Roman fort built in 179 AD. Walk across the 12th-century Steinerne Brucke (stone bridge), the oldest of its kind in Germany. (B,L,D)

Monday, Oct. 26 – Nuremberg

Today, spend a relaxing morning of cruising, the afternoon is spent in Nuremberg. Choose either a guided sightseeing tour of this city’s medieval fortifications, extraordinary gothic churches or a more specialized “Nuremberg Rally Grounds” tour. (B,L,D)

Tuesday, Oct. 27 – Nuremberg – Return home

After breakfast this morning we’ll be transferred to the airport for our flight back to the United States where our motorcoach awaits to return us to Connecticut.

Penalties are as follows:

Cancel before July 10, 2015 – deposit is non-refundable

Cancel July 11 – Aug 11, 2015 – 35% of entire price

Cancel Aug 12 – Sept 12, 2015 – 50% of entire price

Cancel after Sept 12, 2015 – no refund

responsible for arranging and providing all services and accommodations offered in connection with this trip. However, in no cases does KTI own, operate

or control any of the firms or vendors which will provide goods and services for the trip (hotels, air or land transportation, meals, etc.) or for any option which

may be available (optional side trips, car rentals, etc) KTI has not priced the trip or option to allow KTI to guarantee against the failure or negligence of any

such firms. Hotel rooms are reserved on a first come, first served basis. KTI has no control over how specific rooms are assigned. While hotels are asked to

take into account special room requests. KTI cannot guarantee any requests for type of bedding, views, etc. since it is not within control to do so. Each

participant agrees to seek redress or remedies directly with the supplier and not to hold KTI liable in the absense of its negligence which results directly or

indirectly from any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise of (1) which any entity which is to or doesn’t provide goods or services for the trip or any

available option (e.g. the quality of services, cleanliness of a hotel, beach, sightseeing attraction, ship, aircraft, bus or any other conveyances, quality of food

problems regarding needs or animals, damaged, lost or delayed luggage, hotel overbooking (flight delays, labor unrest, acts of criminals or terrorism, etc)

or any other third party Each participant also agrees not to hold KTI liable for circumstances beyond its control (mechanical failures, strikes, etc.)

or for acts of God (weather, natural disasters,etc) Each participant acknowledges that neither KTI nor its agents have made any representation or promise

KTI. KTI reserves the right to decline, for any lawful reason, to accept or retain any person as a participant on a trip (or option), whereupon KTI’s only

obligation shall be to refund to such person that portion or payment allowable to the unused services.
