Restoration Gardens Program Manager

Background: AIRS has been a leading provider of supportive housing for Baltimore’s homeless populations for the past 23 years. Since 2003, AIRS has pioneered youth and young adult housing models that use innovative approaches that both challenge and support their residents to move to self-sufficiency. We are currently seeking a dynamic leader for the award-winning Restoration Gardens, a 43-unit apartment complex in Park Heights District of Baltimore City. The candidate we are seeking must have a passion for and a commitment to changing the lives of urban minority youth and the creative ability to communicate that same kind of positive engagement to his/ her staff.

Position Responsibilities: Provides program administrative and personnel oversight over the build out, development and management for programming, staff support and budget of Restoration Gardens. Hours will be flexible and reflect a need to coordinate a 24-7 facility.

Specific Duties:

  • Provide leadership and training for program staff and volunteers working towards a unified set of goals
  • Assist with Section 8 application, lease up and re-certification activities so as to support smooth processes.
  • Act as main point of contact for building and operations issues (maintenance, risk management, supply orders).
  • Sets up necessary protocols and service guidelines.
  • Develop community partnerships and solicit in-kind donations that support the program goals.
  • Evaluate program results based on Logic ModelPerformance goals, and submit regular reports.
  • Develop risk management strategies that include residents and all staff in their solutions, and incorporate into staff and resident practices.
  • Develop and maintain good relationship with community service sites and neighborhoods.

Qualifications:

  1. MSW or MA in a Clinical field, plus a minimum of 5 years experience in work with urban youth populations.
  2. LCSW-C or LCPC, State of Maryland preferred
  3. Personnel and budget management experience minimum of 2 years required.
  4. Position requires excellent organizational and management skills.
  5. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills. They will have a can-do attitude, be able to motivate others, work with diverse groups and individuals and perform thorough follow-ups.

Salary Range-$50,000-$60,000
