Public help sought:-

Old Delhi Railway Police have sought public help in identifying the following bodies:-

1.  A male age around 25/25 years, height 5’3”, wheatish complexion, round face, wearing red blue checkdar shirt and grey pant, found on 2-5-2010.

2.  A male age around 40/45 years, height 5’5”,shallow complexion, oval face,, wearing blue jeans pant only, found on 2-5-2010.

SPECIAL CELL

On 02.05.2010, a team of officers under the supervision of Sh Bhisham Singh, ACP led by Inspr. Sanjay Dutt has busted an immigration racket and has arrested Sayed Salem @ Rehman r/o Afghanistan and Anand Kumar Subba Limbu @ Anant Kumar @ Kumar r/o Sunsari, Nepal. They are wanted in immigration cases of PS NSCBI Airport, Kolkata. This racket on the basis of fake Nepalese passports were facilitating the immigration of Afghani nationals to foreign countries using Combodia & Indonesia as transit point.

An information was received from Central intelligence agency that Rehman, Afghani national based in Bhogal, Delhi is involved in procuring forged Nepali Passports for Afghani Nationals. Subsequently, information was also received from SOG, CID. Kolkata that Sayed Salem @ Rehman and Anand Kumar are wanted in Case FIR Nos, 25,26,27, 28,29,30 dated 21.04.2010 U/S 419/420/467/468/471/120 B IPC, 12 PP ACT, 14 Foreigners Act PS NSCBI Airport, Kolkata. Surveillance was mounted and sources were deployed in Bhogal area to apprehend the Rehman. On the basis of specific input a raid was conducted at Kashmiri Park, Jangpura Extension, New Delhi and both the racketeers were apprehended under section 41(1) CrPC.

During the sustained interrogation Sayed Salem @ Rehman revealed that since Australian government is not issuing VISA to Afghani nationals he had arranged fake Nepalese passports for six Afghani, who were arrested in Kolkata on 21.04.2010. They were all destined for Australia using Combodia & Indonesia as transit point. These fake Nepalese passports were arranged by Jeevan, Anand and Hari all r/o Nepal. Hari is based in Combodia. Rehman charges $ 3500 US Dollar per person for facilitating the fake passport for Afghani nationals which were handed over to Jeevan and Anand. Anand Kumar revealed that he and alongwith his relative Jeevan arranged forged Nepalese passports for Afghani Nationals on fake identity through Krishna r/o Kathmandu, Nepal. He further revealed that he had e-mailed the photographs and other relevant details of six Afghani Nationals to Krishna who in turn managed their forged Nepalese Passports. Krishna then sent the fake passports to Delhi via courier. Both the accused persons revealed that they knew about the apprehension of Jeevan, Hari and other Afghani Nationals in Kolkata and since then they were evading the arrest.

Kolkata police has been informed about their arrest. Further investigation is in progress.

FUGITIVE GRANDSON ARRESTED IN A CASE OF MURDEROUS ASSAULT ON GRANDMOTHER

With the arrest of (1) Nitin Sharma aged 25 years s/o Surender Kumar Sharma r/o Mandir Marg, Baljeet Nagar, Delhi and (2) Nitin Gupta aged 23 years s/o Om Prakash Gupta r/o Shalimar Bagh, Delhi (receiver), the staff of Police Station Patel Nagar has solved a case of attempt to murder-cum-robbery in which accused Nitin Sharma had attempted to kill his grandmother on 03.05.10.

INCIDENT

One Smt. Kaushalya Devi w/o Late Shri Kanwalnain Sharma r/o Mandir Marg, Baljeet Nagar, Delhi reported that on 03.05.2009, she was taking rest on the bed. At about 2:30 PM, her grandson Nitin Sharma came and demanded her gold bangles and on refusal, he put a cloth on her mouth and attempted to strangulate her. She became unconscious and Nitin Sharma fled away after taking her gold bangles. Consequently, a case vide FIR No. 185/09 u/s 307/392 IPC was registered at Police Station Patel Nagar and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

During the investigation, several sources were deployed and raids were conducted by the police team at all the possible hideouts of the accused. When accused Nitin could not be traced, the proceedings for declaring him Proclaimed Offender were initiated and on 07.10.09, accused Nitin Sharma was declared Proclaimed Offender by the court of MM/Tis Hazari. At the same time, the police team continued efforts to apprehend the accused.

On 01.05.10, an information was received that accused Nitin Sharma is present in Cudol, Chennai. A police team consisting of SI Gaurav Kumar, HC Ram Singh and Ct. Dharamvir was constituted under the supervision of Inspr. M.S. Shekhawat, SHO/Patel Nagar. The team raided the said hideout of the accused Nitin Sharma and he was arrested. During interrogation, he disclosed that he was in need of money and when his grandmother refused to give her bangles, he got agitated and tried to kill her. He further disclosed that he had sold the gold bangles to one Nitin Gupta, a jeweler in the area of Karol Bagh. After taking cash, he left Delhi and kept hiding himself at different places in Jammu, Mumbai and Chennai. At present, he was working in a cyber café in Chennai.

At his instance, receiver of looted property Nitin Gupta aged 23 years s/o Om Parkash Gupta r/o Shalimar Bagh, Delhi has been arrested.

(1)  Nitin Sharma aged 25 years s/o Surender Kumar Sharma r/o Mandir Marg, Baljeet Nagar, Delhi. His father is a patient of Asthma. He has studied upto 12th standard. In the earlier occasions also, he had stolen articles from the house. In the instant case, he has been declared Proclaimed Offender on 7.10.09.

(2)  Nitin Gupta aged 23 years s/o Surender Kumar Sharma r/o Mandir Marg, Baljeet Nagar, Delhi ran a jewellery shop at Karol Bagh in the name of Om Prakash Jewellers.

ROBBER ARRESTED BY VIGILANT COP

One Ravi Prakash (name changed) r/o Rouse Avenue, DDU Marg, New Delhi reported that he works as a Clerk in Bar Council of India, 21, Rouse Avenue, New Delhi. On 03.05.10, he was returning from ITO Crossing and was going towards his house. At about 10:30 PM, when he reached near Andhra School, two persons caught hold of him and started beating him. They robbed him of 4 rings, purse containing Rs. 4,000/- and other documents, two mobile phones and one wrist watch. The complainant fell down on the road and the assailants ran away. The complainant raised alarm. Meanwhile, one Ct. Khem Chand posted in Police Station I.P. Estate who was on duty at ITO Crossing, chased them and apprehended one of the assailants while another assailant managed to escape taking the advantage of darkness. The apprehended person was identified as Chaman aged 22 years s/o Gauri Singh r/o D-Block, Sultan Puri, Delhi and 4 rings, one mobile phone and one wrist watch were recovered from his possession. Consequently, a case vide FIR No. 54/10 u/s 394/411/34 IPC was registered at PS I.P. Estate.

During interrogation, accused Chaman disclosed that he is a Bhel Puri vendor at India Gate. He was in need of money. So, he along with his accomplice Raju committed the above crime but they could not succeed and he was apprehended by the alert cop. Efforts are being made to arrest his accomplice Raju and remaining booty.

MASTERMIND OF CHEATING WHO IMPLICATED HIS 24 ASSOCIATES AS WELL AS BUSINESS RIVALS IN CRIMINAL CASES OF ATTEMPT TO MURDER, CHEATING ETC. IN VARIOUS PARTS OF U.P. & UTTRAKHAND, ARRESTED FOR CHEATING AN INNOCENT PERSON

South District Police has arrested one accused for cheating an innocent person and unearthed 9 cases of Attempt to Murder, Cheating etc. registered on the complaint of accused in various parts of U.P. and Uttrakhand in which accused has implicated 24 persons, out of whom 15 persons have spent a long time in prison.

INCIDENT

On 28.03.2010, Mr. Rajesh Kumar S/o Ganga Ram R/o 121, Sector-9, R.K.Puram lodged a complaint at P.S. Safdarjung Enclave that in the year 2007 he made an ‘Agreement to Sell’ with one Ved Parkash Yadav for the flat No.8, Plot No. 21-22, Krishna Nagar and he paid Rs. 15,00,000/- through cheques to Ved Parkash Yadav. But now he came to know that Ved Parkash Yadav has sold this flat to another person and has made ‘registry’ in favour of that person. On this complaint, a case vide FIR No. 64/2010 u/s 420/468/471/120-B IPC was registered at P.S. Safdarjung Enclave and investigation taken up.

INVESTIGATION, TEAM & ARREST:

During investigation, it was found that Ved Parkash Yadav is a shrewd builder. He is in the habit of taking disputed property and after taking possession of the property, in order to avoid payment/share of the said property he used to implicate the other party in criminal cases of attempt to murder, cheating, threatening etc. registered on either on his complaint or on the complaint of his servants in various parts of U.P. and Uttrakhand. By adopting this tactic, he has succeeded in registration of 9 cases under provision of 156.3 Cr.P.C.against 24 persons, out of whom 15 persons have spent a long time in the jail.

Seeing the gravity of the case, a special police team consisting of Inspector Sunil Kumar Sharma, S.I. Sunjay Sharma, HC Sukhpal, Constables Sudhir and Rakesh under the supervision of Inspr. A.S. Rawat, SHO/Safdarjung Enclave and Shri Mohinder Singh, ACP/Safdarjung Enclave was constituted and raids were conducted at various places to arrest the accused. Finally, the efforts of the police team bore results and accused Ved Prakash Yadav was arrested from Sewa Nagar, P.N.T. Quarter near Mother Dairy at 7.00 P.M. on 01.05.2010.

All the above alleged persons were the associates of Ved Parkash Yadav in his different property / business deals. He had to pay dues to these persons but instead of paying their dues he managed to send them to jail by implicating them in criminal cases. In this present case also, Ved Parkash Yadav made ‘Agreement to Sell’ for Flat No. 8, Plot No. 21-22, Krishna Nagar New Delhi with complainant Rajesh Kumar for total consideration of Rs. 40 Lacs and took Rs. 15.00 Lacs from complainant. But instead of giving possession of this flat to Rajesh Kumar, accused Ved Parkash Yadav sold this flat to one Shailesh Kumar Awasthi. Accused assumed that Rajesh Kumar would never complain against him because he knows the fate of his other friends which were booked by accused in different criminal cases of attempt to murder in various parts of U.P.

MODUS-OPERANDI

Accused Ved Parkash Yadav is a shrewd builder and business man. Satish s/o Thug Singh, Babul Jha s/o Bhopal Jha, Ravi Kumar s/o Bachhan Singh and Parkash s/o Dhani Singh are his servants who are residing at his different plots/kothis. All of them are illiterates. Ved Parkash Yadav used to get their thumb impressions/signatures on complaints on one pretext or other. During interrogation, all the servants stated that they had never filed any complaint in any part of U.P. and Delhi. However, one of his servants Satish Kumar s/o Thug Singh stated that some years back his master Ved Parkash Yadav took him to some places at Ghaziabad where he was given an anesthesia by some doctor and when he regained consciousness he saw a deep cut on his back side. When he enquired from Ved Parkash Yadav about it, Ved Parkash Yadav threatened him with dire consequences and gave him Rs. 5000/- to keep his mouth shut.
