PROFILE

I am a hardworking honest and enthusiastic individual with the required “can do” attitude to all of my work. My time keeping skills are always maintained, I am dependable and motivated by success. In my spare time I assist my friends and family to build or repair computers, I play online games, go to the gym and socialise with my friends. I possess a full clean driving license, eligible to work in the UK and currently self studying to achieve IT certifications so I can further my computing knowledge and career

WORK EXPERIENCE

August 2010 - present DHL Exel Supply Chain (Nissan Sunderland)
Working as a CSA (Customer Support Advisor) for a major car manufacturer. My job is to provide reports and provide backend warehouse support as part of a 3 man CSA team through a rotational 24/7 shift basis.

I have decided to move on from this role, due to a recent loss in contract for the business I no longer feel my job is in a safe position and wish to seek stability and develop my career further within the IT sector.

May 2010 – June 2010 DLC Training Meadowfield
I accepted a position which was contract to permanent as an office data entry / assistant in the marketing department. Provided with the task of tidying up the company database of all their clients and removing any duplicates they had in order for the data to be imported into a new system that was being designed. Due to personal family reasons I agreed for a mutual termination of my contract as it was affecting my work.

January 2009 – October 2009 Faculty of Business and Law Sunderland University

I joined the University to assist the technical staff with the integration of a new network domain within their Faculty and the provision of IT and AV Technical Support to the Academics, Academic Support and Executive Staff. I liased with staff members of varying knowledge and assisted them with any queries they had focussing around mainstream and 3rd party software alongside hardware, peripheral, and AV systems. Undertaking a multitude of work and non-work related tasks to facilitate the continuity of their jobs

May 2002 – October 2008 Electronic Data Systems, Peterlee

Working as a 1st Line Senior Technical Support Agent, I looked after incoming queries on the telephone or email initiated IT queries. The job role progress into a status where I was recognised as an experienced agent. This resulted in my duties, responsibilities and system access being amended accordingly

July 2000 - May-2002 Northern Training Trust, Peterlee – Youth Training Scheme

Attending multiple placements for a Youth Training Scheme where I could experience on the job training and life skills that would setup me in the future. This additionally helped me choose the industry sector where I wanted to work in.

SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM GOALS

·  In the short term (18-24 months). I am looking to fast track my experience within the IT sector and develop my qualifications gaining key skills for Comptia (A+ / N+) and start my progression route into advanced support qualifications (MCSE, MCDST, CCNA)

·  In the long term (24-60 months). I see myself as an experienced 2nd/3rd level engineer, with a transferable skill set into multiple sectors, fully qualified with an MCSE or CCNA certification and progressing my skills further into various Programming/Web Design languages including Java, C+, .NET, CSS as well as developing knowledge in command line systems Linux/Unix. This will assist me to open up further career options or progression routes within the industry and make myself a more valuable asset to the business I am with.
