1.  Ph.D. in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics (final defense on 9th January 2006) at the Center for Development Research, University of Bonn, Germany. The title of the Ph.D. dissertation is “Determinants of Sustainable Management of Natural Resource: The Case of Joint Forest Management (JFM) in India”.

2.  M.Phil in Environmental Economics in First Class from the University of Hyderabad in India, August 1998 to October 1999.

3.  Master in Economics in First Class from the University of Hyderabad in India June 1996 to June 1998.

Research Experiences

I have research experience of carrying out scientific research on environmental and natural resource economics as a research assistant/consultant at the Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) in Hyderabad, India, from August 1999 to July 2002. The following research projects in which I was actively involved in doing review of literatures, designing questionnaires, data collection through extensive field work, and data processing and analysis.

1.  Land Degradation in India: Extent, Costs and Determinants, funded by United Nation University, Tokyo.

2.  Environmental Degradation in Andhra Pradesh: Market, Policy and Institutional Failure, funded by World Bank.

3.  Watershed Management for Sustainable Agricultural Development in Andhra Pradesh, funded by Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India.

4.  Revival of Traditional Water Harvesting Systems for Sustainable Rural Livelihood: A case study of Tank Restoration Program in Andhra Pradesh, Funded by SPWD, New Delhi.
