SUMMARY

A young and educated professional originally from Azerbaijan (but now settled in Aberdeen, UK, British) with a MBA in Oil and Gas Management qualification from the University of Dundee and a Postgraduate Certificate in Oil and Gas Law from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Recent work experience is mainly in the area of reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts on behalf of WG companies in the UK and overseas.

Prior experience (up to July 2005) mainly included developing business potential and supporting CIS operations for Wood Group Engineering and MacGregor Energy Services which included advice on tax and legal matters, identification of market opportunities, establishing and maintaining relationships with clients overseas, managing a small MacGregor branch office in both Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, maintaining business controls, liaison with CIS authorities, regulatory organisations, banks, local contractors. Extensive overseas travel.

Earlier experience was with BP Exploration (Azerbaijan) Ltd on oil and gas construction project in both Azerbaijan and Russia.

The candidate possesses good knowledge of the oil and gas industry (though without deep technical background) and a wide network of contacts in governmental and industrial (local and foreign) organisations, able to work towards tight deadlines, a team player, able to create a relaxed atmosphere around.
