CPPPBC-CCLR (Designated Parent/Volunteer) Checklist

The Child Care Licensing Regulation has been designed to protect the health and safety of children in a wide diversity of child care facilities. Section 34, Schedule E (5) of the regulation provides that Parent Participation Preschools may operate without a qualified Early Childhood Educator Assistant if a designated parent is present and has taken the parent education program.

The following checklist has been developed to assist your programs to ensure Sections 19 and 29 of the regulation are being addressed for designated parents.

Appendix B: Medical and Immunization Statement

Designated Parent Medical Statement

Section 19 (1)(e) of the Child Care Licensing Regulation requires any person who will be working with children to obtain a medical statement indicating that person is physically and psychologically capable of working with children and carrying out assigned duties.
