CLUBMANS MEMBERS POST RACE MEETING HELD ON 5 MAY 2011 AT KILLARNEY CLUB HOUSE

GREETING

The meeting was opened by the chairman

ATTENDANCE AND APPOLOGIES

The members were reminded to sign the attendance register and apologies were madeEwald Weiland, Mark Oldale, Mark Smith, Francois van Tonder who were unable to attend.

REPORT BACK OF LAST EVENT

There were 49 starters on the day. Danie and Gareth were given yellow card by COC.

PRO

Looking for a sponsor for back windscreen. Protour  14th May. Peter van der Poel from ASA Midas has organized TV coverage and Gary Flemming volunteered to do commentary in JHB again.28th May Clubmans have been invited to Swartkops. Ryan O’Connor will be driving the clubmans media car advertised on KFM extensively.

RACING FEEDBACK

Oil checks at scrutineering – 11 members stopped from racing 2nd heat. Attitude of COC and scrutineers towards clubmans section has to be addressed. i.e what was said in scrutineering after the race as well as over the marshalls radios as well as COC not allowing vehicles to be towed back for repairs after race 1.

EXCO FEEDBACK

New lady appointed in accounts – invoices for garages is being addressed. Weak advertising for local events discussed. New constitution for WPMC discussed and Warren attended to answer questions. Stop rumours – questions to be addressed to clubmans chairman to address at EXCO and supply feedback at clubmans meetings. WPMC AGM to be held on 21st June 2011 and clubman members were asked to attend. Rotation of race day slots to be addressed – Clubmans has race early often this year so far.

PROPOSED BUDGET & FINANCES

There was R10 000 for appearance money – 50 envelopes. 12 were not collected R2400 was put back into the kitty.Weight brackets to be paid – R1824.00

TECHNICAL

Allison from the marshalls demonstrated the meanings of the flags. Paul Simon to enable entry form off WPMC website.

TUG MEESTER

The TUG master for the evening collected sufficient fine money to cover the barman costs. The money collected was handed by Ernest Leite to the barman. Next tug meester Andre Johnson
