City of Sacramento (Allena Portis)

City of Sacramento Police Department uses Property Room.com. The manager of our Property Division believes this service is better that others out there. Someone flies in from So Cal and rents a vehicle to pick up the surplus items. We are sent a check for a certain percentage and I believe he gets a report that details what was sold, etc.

City of Glendale (Michelle Flynn)

From our Police Business Administrator – We use them and they do an excellent job for us.

City of Costa Mesa (Debbie Casper)

We do use Property Room for Police confiscated items and some of the old computer equipment that we have had difficulty selling through Public Surplus. They pick up items andbundleeverything for sale.

The one draw back and the biggest reason we don't utilize them for City property is that they keep 50% of the proceeds on the auction items. In addition they won't take furniture type surplus.

We have had good response from Public Surplus even though there is a little work involved in listing the items. We keep all proceeds and the buyer pays the 8% premium fee. Currently Steve Ridgway (from Maintenance)lists vehicle items and Jon (Storekeeper) and Don (Buyer) list non-vehicle equipment.

City of Chico(Joe Moralli)

I am the Property Section Manager for the City of Chico Police Department. We have utilized the services of Propertyroom.com for over eight months now. I have had great results with this company. The items, which we used to sell locally, are bringing much large dollar amounts than I would have anticipated.

The company will contact you to schedule a pick up and provides courteous service. Their drivers have been a pleasure to work with and always willing to help load the items.

The company website will allow you to track all of your items with ease. If you are interested in a particular item, you can locate it and view the specifics.

Overall, I am pleased with Propertyroom.com. If you have any particular questions you would like to answer, please do not hesitate to give me a call.

County of Riverside (Jon Christensen)

No we have only used BID for Assets and like them so far. This has been for auctioning off of seized real property for tax sales.

City of Irwindale (Laura Nomura)

At the City of Hemet, the Police Department used them for their asset seizures, same with here in Irwindale. Both Police Departments have been pleased with the services provided.

City of Antioch (Doug Allesio)

Our Police Department uses them. Please contact R. Huddleston at 925-779-6900 for his experiences with this company. Good luck!
