Cisco Options Package (COP) File on Cisco Unified Intelligence Center CUIC-10.0(1)

May 2014

Introduction

The COP file provides a way to deploy software outside of the normal maintenance release processes.

This document describes how to download and apply the Cisco Options Package (COP) file to fix Cisco Unified Intelligence Center Release defects.

This COP file can only be applied to systems that have Unified Intelligence Center Release 10.0(1) installed or to systems that have been upgraded to Cisco Unified Intelligence Center Release 10.0(1).

Prerequisites for Installing the COP

Cisco Unified Intelligence Center Release 10.0(1) must be installed or upgraded on your system.

Downloading the COP file

Download the COP file ciscocuic.10.0.1.2.cop.sgn from the Software Download Areas – Unified Intelligence Center 10.0(1) to the SFTP server that can be accessed from the Cisco Unified Intelligence Center 10.0(1) system.

After you download the file, install it on all nodes in the cluster using the following procedure.

Installing the COP

The procedure below describes how to install the COP file using the CUIC Command line interface (CLI).

You can also install the COP file using the upgrade procedure in the Cisco Unified Operating System Administration web interface (<ip>:8443/cmplatform/). For details see the Installation and Upgrade Guide for Cisco Unified Intelligence Center Release 10.0(1).

Note: If a user has a cluster setup, install the COP on the Publisher node and restart it. Only then proceed with installation on all the Subscriber nodes.

Step 1: Log in to the Cisco Unified Intelligence Center CLI. To log in to the CLI you must specify the System Administration username and password.

Step 2: Enter the command utils system upgrade initiate to initiate the COP installation.

Step 3: Select remote file system as the source.

Step 5: Enter the remote path to the directory on the SFTP server where you have downloaded the COP file

Note: If the COP file is located on a Linux or UNIX server, you must enter a forward slash (/) at the beginning of the directory path. For example, if the COP file is in the patches directory, enter /patches. If the COP file is located on a Windows server, check with your system administrator for the correct directory path.

Step 6: Enter the SFTP server name or IP address and then enter the credentials.

Step 7: Select the transfer protocol as SFTP. The system displays the list of COP files available in the SFTP location.

Step 8: Select the number corresponding to the COP file that you want to install and press Enter.

Step 9: Enter Yes when you are prompted to start installation. After COP installation, restart the box. If this is a single node, your installation ends here.

Step 10: For a cluster setup, if you performed this installation on a Publisher, restart the box and wait for about 10 minutes and then proceed with installation on the Subscriber nodes (start from Step 1).
