Chevening Scholarships - Social Media Ambassadors
Location: UK

Chevening Social Media Ambassadors (SMAs) showcase what it’s like to be a Chevening Scholar by attending events and documenting their journey during their year in the UK.

SMAs fully immerse themselves in the Chevening experience whilst also sharing their involvement through social media, taking advantage of both academic and engagement activities. They are responsible for facilitating greater interaction and generating interest from the Chevening cohort and connected parties. A month will be allocated to each SMA where their activities will be spotlighted on the website and on social media. In each SMA’s respective month, they will be expected to provide maximum coverage of their journey in the UK.

There are ten SMA positions. In larger regions, more than one scholar can be considered for the role of a SMA and will be expected to work in conjunction where possible.

There will be an opportunity for one SMA to chair the SMA group. The chair will be responsible for coordinating the SMAs on a monthly basis, ensuring that every Chevening event is attended and social media coverage is provided. They will be responsible for communicating this information to the Secretariat. The chair will also oversee the SMA joint farewell project.
