BETHESDA, MD – March17, 2015- Capital City Nurses (CCN), one of the Mid-Atlantic’s largest home care companies, announces today its recent milestones and continued success, including, the successful opening of a new entity, The Cottage at Curry Manor, a new office location in Severna Park that will service the Baltimore and Annapolis areas and expanded specialty programs. These activities come to set the stage for CCN’s future success and expansion, and solidify its position as a local leader in the home care field.

Further underscoring CCN’s continued growthand its commitment to provide support to its growing client list, in 2014,CCN opened The Cottage at Curry Manor, a one-of-a-kind residential assisted living residence in Bethesda. As of April 2014, it is fully licensed to provide individualized care in an amenity-rich setting, featuring fresh cuisine, well-appointed settings filled with natural light, intellectual conversation, robust activities and programs, and cultural experiences. Since its opening, The Cottage at Curry Manor has welcomed six residents to the community and is on track to achieve full capacity in the first quarter of 2015.

CCN also recently opened a new office location in Severna Park to service seniors in the Baltimore and Annapolis areas. In addition, the new Severna Park office serves to welcome potential caregivers for interviews as well as training and orientation. The new office is located in 485 Ritchie Hwy, Suite 203A, Severna Park, MD 21146.

Additionally, CCN has expanded its array of unique, industry-leading specialtyservices, including:

  • ‘Daughter Down the Street/ Sons Stopping By’ – a program that allows for one-on-one time with a caring, sophisticated companion who can take your mom, dad, or elder relative to lunch, museums, theaters, play cards, and much more.
  • Medication Management Program– which makes a Registered Nurse available on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to prepare and pour medications for a client, and also coordinate medication orders with a client’s physicians as needed. A Nursing Assistant can also help clients keep track of medication schedules and provide medication reminders.
  • Short & Sweet Visits – In contrast to the industry’s standard minimums of 4 hours per visit, the 90-minute personalized care sessions introduces home care to clients that may be resistant by offering a short yet helpful visit. It provides clients with assistance with their medication reminders, breakfast/dinner help, bathing and dressing, transportation or running errands as well as special requests.

These services will continue to expand and develop as 2015 progresses, as CCN evolves and achieves new levels of growth on its mission to provide exceptional, high quality care to area seniors.
