CANADIAN DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT VOLUNTEER AWARD

Nomination Form

The Canadian Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Volunteer Award was established in 2017 to recognize exemplary disaster management volunteerism, and worthy volunteer programs and initiatives contributing to the betterment of Canadian safety.

Each year, up to three recipients are selected to be recognized by their peers for their outstanding contribution to some area of disaster risk management without expectation of financial benefit - whether that contribution occurs before, during and/or after a disaster.

There is no monetary reward associated with this award, and the award is presented to selected nominees at the CRHNet annual symposium. However, award recipients will have their contributions recognized and featured in HazNet, CRHNet’s signature publication.

Candidates, candidate initiatives, and/or programs must be nominated by a Canadian for voluntary their contributions in Canada and the nomination must be supported by three references. Only nominated applications will be considered.

Completed nomination packages (including the nomination form below) are to be submitted by e-mail to the Canadian DRM Volunteer Award Coordinator in Word or PDF format by the stated deadline. Please ensure the e-mail subject line reads: Canadian DRM Volunteer Award.
