Charge Nurses provides overall nursing care, medications, & treatment to assigned residents in accordance with current Federal, State, & local standards, guidelines, & regulations. Duties include: communicates & collaborates with nursing team on all resident car needs; administers medications, coordinates dressing changes & other treatments; assists physician during rounds while transcribing/administering physician orders.
Requirements:
  • Must hold active LPN or RN licensure with Maryland Board of Nursing.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills in order to interact with internal/external customers.
  • At least 2 years previous experience in a medical/surgical, rehab, or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Must be able to perform the essential physical task of lifting, turning, moving, positioning/transporting residents into & out of bed, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, recliners, Geri chairs & lifts. Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during a work day.

Duties include: Assists residents with ADLs to include personal care; Obtains vital signs in accordance with CCNC policies/procedures; Observes & reports changes of resident’s mood/physical appearances to Charge Nurse.
