CAHA BOARD MEETING MINUTES – September 2017

Motion to approve August Minutes

Motion – Maslowski2nd – Schmitz APPROVED

Maslowski was nominated to fill vacant VP Board Position APPROVED

CAHWA

Rick Sievert was in attendance and was working with CAWHA in putting together a free checking clinic for Bantams. Dave Esse would be running the camp. Suggested this be prior to tryouts. Sievert also discussed number of Bantams trying out and was hoping CPD would look at the numbers to make sure teams had the optimal amount of players.

There was a motion to put on the checking clinic and donate the Ice time.

Discussion was brought up to add Lumberjack Logo to apparel to be sold. Long discussion took place and was decided not to move forward with that at this time.

Discussion on CAHA Raffle prizes took place. Idea was brought up to have 4 donated items on raffle (guided fishing, Yeti Coolers, Golf Passes and Kiminski GC) along with a 4 wheeler and 3 cash donations ($2,500, $1,000, $500)

Motion to moved forward with suggested raffle prizes

-Each team (squirt and above) will be able to sell 10 extra raffle books. Money would be split between CAHA and said team.

-Roll out November 1st

-Turn in Monday January 29th

-Drawing will be February 10th Boys Varsity game

Rink Manager Report

Harriman said there is a need to order 1 set of squirt jerseys due to number of players, He also brought up the idea of switching our whites to a light grey to keep jerseys looking new longer.

Motion to transition white jerseys to grey

Facilities manager has not been hired as of yet. Interviews are being set up

Parents Group

Parade was a success. Over 450 fliers handed out with information about CAHA. We had approx. 25 Boys and Girls participate in the parade.

Coach and Player Development:

-Numbers are looking good

-Coaches interest looks promising but not all levels have been set

-CPD will be hosting Fall Camp October 2nd-5th for CAHA Players
