- Travel costs. Where possible we ask that you use public transport. Where public transport is not available we can reimburse car travel at a rate of 45p per mile – a petrol receipt must be provided with your expenses claim.
- Accommodation costs. While we do not have a limit on the amount we can cover per night for accommodation, we ask that you identify as reasonable and affordable a rate as possible.
- Subsistence costs. We can cover food and drink costs to a threshold of £20 per day. We cannot reimburse any costs for alcohol.
- Agreed expenses only. Once we have agreed an award amount this cannot be increased after the activity has taken place, however you can claim less
What we cannot support
- Activity that has already taken place.Awards cannot be made retrospectively.
- It is preferred that you do not apply for events repeatedly, we would rather you experience a range of events on offer.
Application process and requirements.
- Film Hub North will assess each application individually as to the benefit of the member organisation and wider Hub in attending the event.
- We will monitor applications to ensure that there is a fair distribution of awards across the membership.
- Whilst some contribution toward costs from your organisation is not essential it is preferred.
- After activity reporting (blogs and surveys) and expenses claims must be received within two weeks of the activity taking place. Expenses will not be repaid until all reporting requirements are fulfilled.
- Successful applicants are required to provide as a minimum a 300–500 word blog post on the activity undertaken to further promote the scheme, and to complete a short evaluation survey reporting on the usefulness of the activity. In some circumstances FHN may request additional reporting requirements.
- Bursaries are paid after the activity has taken place upon receipt of a completed expenses form with original receipts for agreed expenses only.
- It is advised that you send in your application in advance of the deadline, this is due to the amount of time it takes to process an application. Applications received early will take precedence over those received closer to the deadline.
