For the past 25 years as professional translator, I have been involved in various projects with some of the world's market leaders in cutting edge technology and innovation. The majority of my workload has come in the form of translating and interpreting highly specialised technical texts such as: nuclear engineering (former nuclear engineer), heavy mechanical equipments, electrical support systems, all aspects of transport and motor vehicles (including industrial and agricultural machinery), telecommunications and radio interfaces.
Another dominant industry that I have also embarked on is the oil, gas and petroleum industry as well as the translation of MSDS (material safety data sheets).
I have also been involved in the environmental aspects that are associated within the engineering sector such as emission regulations, energy usage and consumption.
I belong to the ITI (Institute of Translators and Interpreters), SFT (La Société Française de Traducteurs). I am also a corresponding member of the ATA (American Translators Association).
