Catalog

Fall Semester 2011

October 2nd – December 30th

WELCOME!

I want to say, “Thank You” for choosing to pick up this Connect Group Catalog to explore ways to get connected to a group this fall.

Connect Groups have many benefits. The obvious one is to find friends. We need godly friends to have a fulfilled,Christian life. When friends come together to explore God’s Word, a formula for spiritual growth is created.

Each fall we take time to grow spiritually together by aligning our focus to one topic for 6 weeks. Therefore, all groups (except for specialty groups) will be taking part in the same study, “Christian Atheist.” The Sunday Sermons and the daily reading will align or complementeach week’s topic as well.

So, take some time to look through this catalog and choose the group that best suits you. You may sign up on your connection card for a group. Mark your card with the group number provided in the catalog or you can go online to .

God bless you.

Pastor Jeff

Curriculum: The Christian Atheist is an honest, hard-hitting, and eye – opening look into the ways people believe in God but live as if he doesn’t exist. From his own lapses in faith as a young man to the painful self-admission he had to make as an established pastor, Groeschel’s journey will immerse you and challenge you to pursue a deeper, Christ-filled life.

Are you putting your whole faith in God but still living as if everything is up to you?

In this DVD group study, pastor and author Craig Groeschel will urge you and your group to be more than just “Christian” in name, to be honest before God, and to break free of hypocrisy to live a more authentic, God-honoring life.

We will be reading the book “the Christian atheist” and then digging in deeper in our groups with our participants guide and by watching Craig’s DVD.

Do you love to scrapbook but never seem to have the time? Well, not anymore!

Come join me on Wednesday mornings and let's get it done.

We will spend our first hour (10:00am - 11:00am) in our bible study and then our second hour (11:00am - 12:00pm) scrapbooking together.

Sounds like fun to me and maybe we can get last year's Christmas pictures in our books before this Christmas. Yeah right....

First Place 4 Health

Curriculum: First Place 4 health: “A New Beginning”

First Place 4 Health is a Christ-centered health program that emphasizes balance in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual areas of life. The First Place 4 Health program is meant to be a daily process. As we learn to keep Christ first place in our lives, we will find that He is the One who satisfies our hunger and our every needs.

This Bible study is designed to be used in conjunction with the First Place 4 Health program but can be beneficial for anyone interested in obtaining a balance lifestyle.

The Bible study has been created in a five-day formant, with the last two days reserved for the reflection on the material studied. Keep in mind that the ultimate goal of studying the Bible is not only for knowledge but also for application and a changed life.

The study book comes with Scripture memory cards that can be removed and carried with you along with a Scripture memory CD with those Scriptures put to song for an additional way of memorizing the word.

Book Cost: $10
