Contractor's Liability Insurance
The Contractor shall not commence work under this contract until he/she has obtained all insurance required herein and such insurance has been approved by the Director of Risk Management. Nor shall the contractor allow any subcontractor to commence work until all similar insurance required of the subcontractor has been so obtained.
The Contractor shall furnish two (2) copies of certificates, with Northwestern University named as an additional insured, showing the following minimum coverage with an insurance company acceptable to the Director of Risk Management. Further, the Certificate of Insurance shall state that coverage provided is primary to any other coverage which may be available to the University.

Hold Harmless
Contractor agrees to indemnify, save harmless and defend Northwesten University, its agents, servants, and employees, and each of them against and hold it and them harmless from any and all lawsuits, claims, demands, liabilities, losses and expenses, including court costs and attorneys' fees, for or on account of any injury to any person, or any death at any time resulting from such injury, or any damage to any property, which may arise or which may be alleged to have arisen out of or in connection with the work covered by this contract.

Comprehensive General Liability and Automobile Insurance shall include Northwestern University as an additional insured with such coverage being primary to any other such coverage which may be available to the University.
The Contractor, before beginning any work under this agreement, shall furnish the University a Certificate of Insurance in evidence of coverage as outlined above, endorsed as noted, said Certificate to include a provision that at least 15 days notice will be given to the University in the event of termination of coverage for any reason.
