Jet Ski/WaveRunner Rental Form

1/2 hour = $40 plus (fuel included) 1 hour = $75 (fuel included) 4 hours = $200 (fuel included)

Limits: Power Lines to the West, Tree lines to the East – No Exceptions

Must have State of Florida Boating certification - the driver must carry a copy of this plus a copy of ID (suggest to take copies)

Must be 18 to rent/drive a jet ski, maximum 3 people on board with a load limit of 400 lbs.

Load is the total weight of cargo, passengers and operator.

The person renting the Jet Ski is the driver. Do not switch drivers. Children cannot drive at any time.

Children 5 years to 10 can ride as a passenger as long as they ride in the middle of two adults.

No one under 5 years of age is allowed on the Tyndall jet skis.

Children 11 years to 17 years, can ride with one adult driving.

All operators & passengers must sign/initial the Hazards/Other Rules/Final check form specific to jet skis.

All operators &passengers must be briefed by a BBORC staff member in regards to:

  • There are no brakes - when headed into the shore or dock, come in extremely slow and cut the engine off prior to hitting the dock or shore, the goal is to come in very slow and easy
  • Do not drive in shallow water as you risk sucking up sand into the intake
  • There is no reverse
  • Do not make turns without checking who is behind you or to your side - watercraft can come upon you without you hearing them.
  • Avoid aggressive maneuvers. Do not jump wakes or waves. Do not ride close to other watercraft. Keep speeds at a minimum around swimmers, divers, kayaks, canoes, SUPS, docks
  • There is a risk of ejection when making sharp turns or running aground
  • The on/off switch will be explained as well as the safety lanyard - the lanyard must be used at all times during operation
  • All Operators and Passengers must wear PDFs with whistles at all times during operation
  • The Operator is responsible for any damage done to the watercraft. A pre-check with the Operator will be done. Once the pre-check is complete, the Operator is responsible for the watercraft and is liable for any damages.
  • The Operator and passengers take full responsibility for themselves and the equipment.
  • The Operator and Passengers must continue to monitor the weather. Storms can come up quickly. Look up! If you see bad weather approaching, head back to BBORC immediately
  • Use the throttle when you want to steer away from something. At idle, you have little to no steering ability
  • Apply situational awareness at all times
