Burnt Oranges Board Meeting

BOI Board Members Present: Brian Weiner, Melissa “Mo” Mohney, Charis Gallaty

Camp Placement: Working with Brian and Jessica on placement – Brian notified community via Facebook

·  People bringing big art and providing more to the community get better placement

·  Stage to shaded lane near the fence for more interactive camps

·  Concern about push-back

Early entry:

·  Trying to keep it to 250 (about 25%) of population – currently at 390

·  Limit number of early entries in order to avoid people taking advantage and using Thursday as a “party night” (noise complaints from neighbors)

·  Request for early entry barcodes

o  Camp placement – will need to send early entry to camp lead

o  Volunteer leads – will need to send early entry to volunteers for Thursday and Friday before 8 pm.

RV – pushing RV registration – to have a better count and consider placement

Volunteer shifts filling up well

Need to encourage Leads to train others as leads for back-up

·  Smokey Joe – greeter lead

·  Scotty – resigned from Ranger Lead; Kive and Mikey to cover; training Tommy Danger

·  Katy – training someone for Volunteer lead

·  Brian and Jess – camp placement

·  Jeff & Sheerly – gate

·  Tracey – Gloo/Earth Guardians (as Gloo clean/refresh the potties they also pick up MOOP)

Paramedic/EMT – Brian to check with his friend and may look at hiring from an organization

Port-o-potties, Golf Carts, Radios – Brian has names and numbers

Schwag already ordered; RobL bringing trailer due to schwag (bunkhouse may be available as well)

After Afterburn:

Art Grant – need to overhaul – looking to restructure – more transparency

Consider elections from each area of Florida – need to discuss further when Stormy and Jen can be part of the discussion

To Do:

Brian – Planning on having a meeting with Storm; Need to have two deliveries of ice; Brian to check on paramedic/EMT

Sober Board Member on duty – Brian, Mo, and Jen to discuss on site
