VENDOR GUIDELINES

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC operates trade shows on the weekend before the second Monday of each month. Starting on that Friday thru Sunday. Operating times are 9am to 6pm Friday and Saturday. 9am to 4pm Sunday.

Vendors are allowed access to the facilities beginning 7am on the Thursday before the show and 7am each show day. Access to the facilities at other times must be prearranged with management. Seasonally we will provide a weekend before the shows to allow vendors to change out merchandise. These will be announced before hand.

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC maintains a website at www.bigcreektradedays.com. All information regarding rentals is available on this site. Big Creek wants to promote our vendors and will provide links to vendor web sites.

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC maintains a Facebook page for vendors. This page is used to communicate information to vendors as well as provide a means for vendors to communicate with each other. Big Creek Trade Days is the administrator of this page and as such approves membership to the page and reserves the right to remove membership to the page.

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC will also communicate with vendor via email. Big Creek Trade Days, LLC reserves the right to change its rules and regulations as necessary. Any changes to these rules will be posted to the vendor Facebook page as well as our website. There will also be a notice posted outside the office building on the premises.

All vendors are responsible for collecting and payment of Louisiana and Lincoln Parish sales tax. All vendors must registered and furnish a copy of their state and parish sales tax permits to Big Creek Trade Days management.

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC is not responsible for theft or damage to any and all merchandise on the premises of Big Creek Trade Days, LLC. If you feel you need insurance for your merchandise, you are responsible for obtaining that insurance yourself.

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC reserves the right to approve all merchandise sold on its premises. No illegal items, No pornography, No sex-oriented products are allowed. No animals are allowed to be sold. Only food vendors are allowed to sell prepared foods and drinks.

1. SALE BARNS

The sale barns are a "lock & leave" facility. Vendors may leave their merchandise in their booths at the end of the show if they have paid for the following month's rent. The facility is locked each night and between shows. The property is fenced and each barn is video monitored. Any entry to the facility outside of stated access times must be arranged with management. That being said, as with any facility, we cannot be responsible for theft or damage of any merchandise left in the buildings. While we insure the facilities we do not insure the contents of the buildings. If you feel that you need insurance to cover your merchandise, you must provide that at your own cost.

Sale barn booths are approximately 14' x 15' and rent for $165.00 a month. We have a limited number of 14' x 10' booths for $110.00. Any vendor signing a year contract will receive a 10% discount. In order to qualify for this discount you must sign an annual contract and authorization for monthly debit withdrawals from a valid checking account or charges to a credit card. Your account will be charged on the Monday following the current show for the next month. Without a contract the payment for the next month's rent will be due by 4pm on the Sunday of the current show for the next month's show. This payment may be made in cash, check or debit/credit card. Failure of payment before the end of the show will forfeit your booth reservation for the next month and will require you to remove your merchandise or forfeit it.

Vendors may decorate and build any display and storage areas they wish within their allotted area. The floor of the barn is hard packed earth with carpet in the center aisle. Vendors may cover their area with anything they like (i.e. carpet or flooring) the only restriction is that this covering may not result in a rise of the floor height and must be secured where it meets the center isle carpet as to prevent a tripping hazard. This is a strict requirement and will be monitored to insure the safety of our vendors and guest. While supplies last, we have available tin and other surplus items as a result of the demolition and remodeling of the facilities of Big Creek. These items are available to our vendors free of charge to use to build your booths and displays. These materials can only be used for booth purposes (not for making items for sell) and become the property of Big Creek should the vendor not continue to rent.

Each sale barn is outfitted with ceiling fans and lights down the center aisle. Each booth will consist of at least one exterior window and at least one 110v electrical outlet. This outlet is included in the rental fee. The outlet is to be used for operation of a fan, register and lights as necessary. NO air conditioners or space heaters are allowed. NO overloading of electrical outlets is allowed. If you have specific needs for electricity beyond this you will need to speak with management before renting a booth. The windows are outfitted with an awning that can be raised and locked upon leaving.

Big Creek Trade Days is a rural area, as such we much endure rural pest. We do our part by regular spraying and maintenance of the building and grounds. We ask that you do your part in helping to deter pest. Roaches love cardboard boxes, therefore, do not store items in cardboard boxes. Please secure all items in plastic boxes with lids. Any food items that you sell and leave at Big Creek need to be stored in plastic boxes (except jarred items) Remember that this facility is not temperature controlled and any items that would perish should not be left on site. Vendors should be prepared with sprays for ants, roaches and wasp. If you encounter a pest problem you need to notify management. All trash needs to be placed in trash cans provided on site at the end of each day. Each vendor is responsible for maintaining a clean booth both inside and outside of your area. We will provide a vacuum cleaner for each building and ask that you vacuum the area outside your booth at the end of each day.

2. OPEN LOTS

Open lots are available in the area between buildings A-B and C-D as well as the area between the parking lot and building A. These lots are approximately 10' x 15' and rent for $25 per month. These lots do not include electricity. If you require electricity you will need to discuss this need with management before renting to insure that electricity is available. There will be an additional fee of $10.

Vendors are allowed to construct within the boundaries of their lot a building or carport structure. Vendor must sign an annual contract providing automatic payment methods. Failure to pay for rental for two consecutive months will forfeit ownership of the structure to Big Creek Trade Days, LLC. Vendor may sell the personally owned structure to another vendor upon approval of Big Creek Trade Days management. Lincoln Parish property taxes assessed on the structure are the sole responsibility of the vendor and nonpayment will result in forfeiture of ownership to Big Creek Trade Days, LLC.

Outside vendors are required at the end of each day to place all trash in cans provided by Big Creek. Vendors are to maintain a clean area within their boundaries. Vendors should be prepared with sprays for ants and wasps. Any pest problems should be reported to management.

Outside vendors without permanent structures must remove all merchandise from the premises at the end of each show. Vendors with permanent structures must place all items inside their structures at the end of each show. Items cannot be left that will interfere with the regular maintenance of the grounds. Any items stored within permanent structures should not be stored in cardboard boxes (roaches love them). Please store items in plastic boxes. Please store food items in plastic boxes. Electricity will not be provided between shows so do not leave perishable items in your buildings.

3. Food Vendors

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC has available ten food vendor spaces. Only food vendors may sell prepared foods and drinks. These spaces rent for $225.00 per show. They are located between the parking lot and building B. There will be limited snack vendor lots available for $125.00 per show. Snack vendors are food vendors that only serve a single item. Each lot has water and electricity and sewer available. No grease is allowed to be emptied into the gray water or disposed of on Big Creek premises. Big Creek provides dining facilities for guests within this area.

All food vendors must provide Big Creek Trade Days management with a current copy of their Louisiana Health Department permits. Food vendors must also provide management with Louisiana and Lincoln Parish Sales Tax permits. Food vendors are responsible for collecting and payment of their sales tax.

All food vendors must place all trash in trash cans provided at the end of each day. Vendors are to maintain a clean area within their boundaries. Electricity will not be provided between shows; therefore, no perishable items should be left in food vendor stands. Any food items that are not in cans or jars should be stored in plastic containers. Vendors should be prepared with sprays for ants and wasps. Any pest problems should be reported to Big Creek management.

4. Parking

All vendors will be issued two parking passes at the beginning of each show. Each vendor is allowed one trailer. Vendors will be provided close access to the sale barns in order to load and unload merchandise before and after the show. During the show all vendors will be instructed where to park.

5. Pets

Big Creek Trade Days, LLC is an animal lover organization and contributes to animal shelters. However, we do not feel that it is in the best interest of the public that pets we allowed on the premises. This is strictly because of the health issue with pet waste and safety issues with pets being in close contact with people they are not familiar with. We really do love our pets but we feel we must respect the public as a whole.

6. Customer Pick Up Service

Customers are not allowed to drive beyond the parking area. We provide customer pickup under the shed located at the office. Items that require being picked up by the customer by vehicle should be transported to the customer pickup area. These items can be transported via golf cart and trailer. If the item requires more than that you will need to arrange for the customer to pick it up at the close of that day. We provide customer pickup forms for you to use in identifying the item and customer. Our employees will transport the item. You or the customer must accompany the transport to insure that it is transported correctly and is not damaged.

COMING FROM WEST ON INTERSTATE 20

Take Exit 69, LA-151, toward Dubach/Arcadia. Turn left onto LA-151 highway. Go 8.7 miles and turn right to stay on Highway 151. Go 4.8 miles and turn right onto California Plant Rd. Big Creek Trade Days is .3 miles on your left. These are country roads PLEASE watch for STOP signs.
