VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Bhutan Media Foundation would like to announce the vacancy for the post of Executive Director.

Selected candidate shall be paid a monthly basic salary of Nu.60, 000/- per month. The appointment of Executive Director shall be for the period of three years and may be renewed based on performance. She/he should possess a good understanding of media, creative ideas for the future growth of media and sound management capability including fiscal management. Applications are invited from interested Bhutanese nationals who have minimum of a bachelor’s degree and has work experience of more than ten years. Candidates with media background shall be preferred.

TERMS OF REFERENCES

  1. The Executive Director shall be the head of the Foundation’s Secretariat and as such shall exercise general supervision of all operations and personnel of the Foundation.
  1. The Executive Director shall have the authority to appoint staff members and assign duties and responsibilities under the overall guidance of the Board.
  1. The Executive Director shall report to the Board of Directors.
  1. The Executive Director may sign with any other designated officer authorized by the Board, if co-signatures or attestation is required for any deeds, mortgages, bonds or other instruments which the Board has authorized to be executed, except in cases where the signing of the execution thereof is expressly delegated.
  1. If the Executive Director is unable to act or is absent or cannot be reached, an Officiating Director designated by the Executive Director shall perform the duties of the Executive Director.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A candidate shall:

  1. Be a Bhutanese citizen;
  2. Have a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree of at least three years duration from an Institute recognized by the Government.
