SAFETY

Safety is about being comfortable in a supportive and healthy learning environment.

• Physical - safe and clean places to work; free from harm by objects, faulty equipment, and others

• Emotional - safe from damage by inappropriate language and actions; support for wide range of healthy attitudes

• Intellectual - safe opportunities to experiment with ideas, expand horizons, and pursue goals; inclusion of a variety of learning styles

• Social - safe from negative pressures; challenges & levels of respect set to increase meaningful and healthy communication with others

Course objective

The Conversation 12 course is designed to provide opportunities for students to practice their French in spontaneous discussions debate and projects. This includes the final project of writing a short musical and performing in front of an audience.

Expectations

-  Make an effort to participate in class discussions

-  Have homework completed on time.

-  Get the necessary help needed to succeed (ie. See the teacher when unsure/come to tutorials)

Students are expected to speak in French at all times while in the classroom. No exceptions. There will be consequences for speaking English in class.

-  Lates and absences (without explanation) will not be tolerated. (All work can be found on my edublog)

-  Respect everyone and everything in the classroom.

-  Electronic devices are to be used appropriately (ie. No instagram, snapchat…)
