Avenues Online Planner: Online Steps

Step 1: Open your browser and go to www.ngsp.com

Step 2:

·  Current user: Click Log-in and enter your TUSD email address and password.

·  New user: click on RegisterCreate New Account; once you create a new account, it will welcome you by name. Be sure to use you TUSD emailing information and your current school site zip code.

Step 3: Once you are logged in, go to the Technology drop down menu (circled below), highlight Avenues and move your cursor to highlight Online Lesson Planner and click

(If prompted for a verification password, use the word Instruction and it will let you in.)

Step 4: Once you’re on the lesson planner, you may create your lesson plans according to your program model.

Avenues e-Assessment: Online Steps

Step 1: Open your browser and go to: www.ngsp.com.

Step 2: From the Technology drop down menu (circled), highlight Avenues and move your cursor to highlight e-Assessment and click

Step 3: Once in the e-Assessment Welcome page you can proceed to log in.

Step 4: Your Log-in User name is your TUSD email address. Your Password is password.

Once in the Online Planner, Watch the Take a Tour

Help Menu is at the bottom of the website. This is a great resource and will give you detailed instructions on how to use the on-line planner

Once in the website ALWAYS ALLOW POP UPs

(Go to Tools Drop down menu and scroll down to Pop up Blocker then to Turn off Pop up blocker)

Go to New Plan TAB Create a New Plan
Step 1) Enter a group name
Step 2) Select a date
Step 3) Pick a level then click Next
Step 4) Click on an Avenues Unit
Step 5) Select type of plan… (Pre-made plan 90- 120 minutes) Plan will pop up.

To see each weeks plans click on the forward arrow near the date.

Edit Calendar
If there is no school on a particular day, go to Edit Calendar
Click on the date first
Type the event name i.e. No School
Click Add button
Then choose between moving the activities forward one day or deleting activities that day

Add Notes
Notes are unrepeated Activities; unique to that day; notes are not permanent and stays only for that day.
It only shows up in “Print with Notes” mode
Notes turn purple when there are notes.

To create a new Activity
Click My Activity within the plan
Click Create New Activity
Enter information. The only thing that shows up visually in the lesson plan are Required items in RED
- Activity Name and Time (Pick zero or time for activity)

To Add the Activity or any of the preset Activities
Click on the day of the week
Click on Add
You can only add if the Add Button is green; otherwise, it means the activity is already embedded within the unit plan.


Moving or Deleting an Activity
Click on the Activity and then click on the Move button or delete.

Copying plans from District File Cabinet
Go to My Plans
View District File Cabinet
Open up someone’s lesson plan. Preview.
If you want it, click on the arrow to download to your plans.
You select a group or enter a new group and choose a date.
Now the group shows up.
*If you downloaded another teacher’s lessons, his/her Activities in that lesson will merge into your “own My Activities”. You can also delete activities from “My Activities”

Printing
Click on the Print button off the Planner
Two ways to print
Suggestion is to print Week at a Glance -
Make sure to choose Landscape in the Page Setup
If you click on the File Print from the browser, the print layout will be different

In order to retrieve Catherine Espinoza’s activities Go to My plans

Click on View District File Cabinet Scroll down to following and then click on the download button.
