THE GREAT ESCAPE

The following passages teach that the church age saints will escape God’s wrath, the thief in the night, the Day of the Lord, the Day of God, Armageddon, the tribulation, the anti-Christ, the judgment of the nations, the hour of temptation. Those that LOOK, WATCH, and WAIT for the Saviour will escape all these terrible things and will enter the kingdom. – Herb Evans

The Escape Principle

Gen 19:21, 22 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. Haste thee,ESCAPE thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither.

Rev 3:10, 11 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION,which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

The Thief in the Night, namely, the Day of the Lord/God, Armageddon

2Pet 3:10 - 12 But the DAY OF THE LORDwill come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of theDAY OF GOD, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Rev 16:13 - 16 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that GREAT DAY OF GOD Almighty.Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The Thief/Tribulation/Antichrist/Armageddon are no COMFORT, but the Rapture Before them is

1Th 4:17,18 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore COMFORT one another with these words.

1Th 5:1 - 11 (1.) But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.(2.) For yourselves know perfectly that the DAY OF THE LORD so cometh as a thief in the night.(3.) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (4.) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that THAT DAY should overtake you as a thief.(5.) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. (6.) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us WATCHand be sober. (7.) For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. (8.) But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation: (9.) For God hath not appointed usTO WRATH, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (11.) Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. (12.) Wherefore COMFORTyourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

The Second Coming in Power and Glory, Christ as a Thief in the Night, Armageddon (Matthew 24)

Mat 24:31 – 45 (31.) And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (32.) Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: (33.) So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. (34.) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. (35.) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (36.) But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (37.) But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.(38.) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, (39.) And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (40.) Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be TAKEN, and the other left. (41.) Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be TAKEN. and the other left. (42.) Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. (43.) But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thiefwould come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. (44.) Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. (45.) Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? The Lord Comes,

The Coming in Glory, Battle of Armageddon, Judgment Nations. The Kingdom(Matthew 25)

Mat 25:31 – 34 (31.)When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him,THEN shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: (32.) And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: (33.) And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. (34.) Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdomprepared for you from the foundation of the world . . .

Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels . . .

Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

The Escape (Luke 21)

Luke21:31 (31.) So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nighat hand.(32.) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. (33.) Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. (34.) And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. (35.) For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. (36.)Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to ESCAPE ALL these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
