Each Field Trip earns 2.5% extra credit towards grade! (5% max.)

*ATTENDANCE is VERY IMPORTANT in this class-miss more than 3 classes or 9 hrs and you must drop the class!

Housekeeping:Please do not bring food or beverages into the Planetarium, and please deposit all trash in a trash can...don’t leave litter on the floor or seats. Do not put liquids on the Control Console, as doing so will result in EXCLUSION! Please make sure seat backs are fully upright when leaving.

Student Learning Objectives:

1. Demonstrate an understanding that astronomy is based upon observations of the sky and how those observations explain some basic phenomena of nature.

2. Explain how light is used by astronomers to learn about the universe.
