WHEREAS,naturaldisastersmayoccuratanytime;theNovember2006Flood(DR #1671), theDecember2007Flood(DR #1734),theJanuary2009SevereWinter Storm/Flood(DR #1817), theJanuary2011SevereWinterStorm/Flooding(DR #1963),theJanuary2012SevereWinterStorm (DR #4056),the November 2015 Severe Storm/Wind/Flooding, and the December 2015 Severe Storm/Wind/Flooding are allsuch events;and

WHEREAS,the EmergencyManagementDivisionoftheStateofWashingtonrequiresLewisCountytodesignateanApplicantAgentandAlternateApplicantAgent/Contactinordertosubmit monetarydamagesforLewisCountypropertiesaswellasoverseeprojects;and

WHEREAS,inrespondingtodisasterstheApplicantAgentandtheAlternateApplicantAgent/Contactshallactconsistentwiththedecisionsandresolutionsofthe BoardofCountyCommissioners;and

WHEREAS,thereisaneedtodesignateanApplicantAgentand an AlternateApplicantAgent/ContactforLewisCountyforallopen,federally declareddisasters,aswellasanydisastersthatmayoccurfromDecember 01, 2016throughDecember31, 2017.

NOWTHEREFOREBEITRESOLVED,thatErik Martin,Public Works Director/CountyEngineer,isappointedasApplicantAgent,andRobinSaline,Public Works AdministrativeAssistant/GrantsAdministrator,is appointed asAlternateApplicantAgent/Contact,fortheopen,federallydeclareddisasters: November 2006 Flood (DR #1671); December 2007 Flood (DR #1734); the January 2009 Severe Winter Storm/Flood (DR #1817); the January 2011 Severe Winter Storm/Flooding (DR #1963); and the January 2012 Severe Winter Storm (DR #4056), aswellasanyfuturedeclareddisastersthatmayoccurDecember 01,2016throughDecember31, 2017.Erik Martin,andRobinSaline,are authorizedtorepresentandactforthe countyindealingswiththeStateandtheFederalEmergencyManagementAgencyfor all mattersrequiredbystate andfederaldisasterassistancegrantagreementsandtoexecute contracts,makeassurancesandcertificationsandpreparepaperworkasneededtoobtainfederalreimbursementfordisaster response.
