Experienced: Previous experience of working a customer service role

Reliable: Demonstrates high levels of availability & punctuality, maintaining communications

Assertive: Experience of controlling pressured situations in a calm and effective manner

Initiative: Ability to be a proactive self-starter, effectively getting on with work

Effectiveness: Ability to manage workload, delivering high quality work on time

Positive: Shows a positive and adaptable attitude towards the Union and work

Supportive: Shows mutual support for the manager and team to benefit students

High Standards: Shows high expectations of themselves and their work

Values led: Champions students and Union values, always trying to do the right thing

Respectful: Friendly with respect for others, helps create a safe and tolerant place to work

Empowering: Empowers others to be fulfilled in their roles by support, learning & development

Progressive: Being fair, valuing equality, diversity, ethics and the environment

Desirable criteria

Previous experience working in a role that supported Freshers’ Week Activities

Previous experience of working in high-pressure environment

Previous experience of supervising staff or volunteers

Employment and voluntary working history

Additional experience, knowledge and qualifications
