The Lady Grizzlies Basketball Camp will begin Tuesday, May26thand go through Thursday, May 28th.
This year’s camp will be divided into two daily sessions.
The morning session will be from 9am to 12pm each day and will be for girls who have completed the 1st through the 4thgrades.
The afternoon session will be from 12:30pm to 3:30pm each day and will be for girls who have completed the 5th through the 8th grades.
The camp will take place at Grainger High. Campers need to enter at the rear entrance of the school under the awning. Campers will need to have transportation available to drop them off at GHS and pick them up at the appropriate times.
The total cost for the camp is $45.00. A non-refundable $25.00 deposit is due upon receipt of this application with the balance being due on the first day of camp. (The full amount of $45.00 will also be accepted on receipt of this application). Campers may sign up and pay the full amount on the first day of camp as well. If you choose to sign up on the first day, you are encouraged to arrive early that day.
Each camper will be given instruction during the week to develop fundamentals for future competitive growth. GraingerHigh School coaches and players will be on staff and giving instruction. The focus of this camp will be to work intensely with each camper on the basic fundamental skills that are necessary to play the game of basketball. Campers will be divided into age and ability groups to receive instruction. Campers will receive individual attention as well as small group instruction in order to improve her basketball skills. Emphasis will be placed on fundamentals, individual defense, individual offense, and shooting techniques. Each camper will have the learning opportunity to improve her skills and develop an increased enjoyment for the game of basketball.
A full service concession stand will be open each day to serve the needs of each camper. Campers may purchase hot dogs, snacks, Gatorade, water, candy, etc. from the concession stand.
