In 1989, a new sensation hit sports fans everywhere. That sensation was American Gladiators. American Gladiators pitted two contestants against a super strong gladiator in events that involved speed, strength, agility and smarts. Today, we will recreate this awesome show but with some new twists. The previous gladiators will now be replaced with a new breed of gladiators. Now, we will introduce them to you…..(introduce)

Without further ado, we will now separate you into to 4 teams of competitors. (Give numbers to each person)

At the end of each event, points will be awarded based on how well you did. The team with the most points will be awarded a head start in our eliminator. After all of this, the winning team will get CANDY. Now

If the contestant gets hit, then they will be out for the remainder of the game and their teammate will continue in their place. The game will end when all contestants are out or 1 min and 45 sec. has elapsed. 2 points will be awarded per person crossing the gauntlet distance + 10 points for every team member left after the time is up.

The contestant hides behind stations and at each station, he will try to hit a target set up underneath the gladiator. At the first station, the contestant will throw a Frisbee at the target; he will then run across the arena to the second section where he will throw a football at the target; then back across where he will throw a tennis ball. After all of this is over, the contestant will have one chance to run close up to the target and throw a ball at it. After 1 min has elapsed or the contestant is out, the next contestant begins. The teams will start in intervals of 30 seconds to try and complete the maze. Every so often a baseball bat can be set up so that the blindfolded contestant spins his head on the bat.
