Revised Technology Governance Model
AAC – Application Advisory Committee
Chair: Director of IT Applications
Meeting frequency: Every other month
Purpose:
- Advises and reports to the Executive Technology Steering Committee
- Advises OIT management
- Updates members on the portfolio of IT work for the purposes of information sharing, awareness, and coordination
- Tracks and coordinates Collegewide projects
- Monitors progress and reports on technology pilots of the Learning Technologies Committee
- Relates to both administrative and academic applications
Membership: Onedesignated representative from each of the following areas:

Note: Each representative should be familiar with the application work and technology expectations of the area represented.
Learning Technologies Committee
Co-Chaired by:Dean, and Deputy Chief Information Officer
Meeting Frequency: TBD, Target date to begin meeting is Spring 2009
Purpose:
- Advises and reports to the Executive Technology Steering Committee
- Reviews proposals from the College community to test new technology for piloting and adoption
- Identifies emerging technologies for enhancing teaching and learning to the College community for potential piloting*
- Recommends pilot projects to the Executive Technology Steering Committee for approval
- Determines outcomes, tracks and assesses data to determine if outcomes were met in adoption post-pilot phase
- Discusses and considers full usage of existing technical functions of available College instructional software and systems (example: Should we consider using more of the available functions in Blackboard?)

* Note: All requests for discipline specific hardware and software will be addressed through the Collegewide Planning Processes.
Executive Technology Steering Committee
Chair: Co-Chair, Sr. VP for Administrative and Fiscal Services / Co-Chair, Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Services
Meeting Frequency: Twice each semester, once in the summer
Purpose:
Strategic leadership team for IT Governance
- Approves and prioritizes OIT projects collegewide relating to technology application, projects, and services for academic and administrative units
- Identifies enterprise wide IT related issues or concerns for resolution
- Receives updates from AAC and Learning Technologies Committee
- Provides oversight for hardware and software purchases in coordination with the Collegewide Planning processes
- Provides routine & timely updates and status
- Provides input to the ITSP
- Maintains effective communication between the College community and this body
- Provides information from this group on major strategic initiatives and direction to the President
