Aloha Parents!

On behalf of the entire Girls’ Soccer coaching staff, welcome to Radford soccer! We look forward to the new faces, opportunities, and challenges the new season will bring.

There have been some adjustments to the conditioning program this year. This letter will highlight some of the major changes or points of emphasis for our conditioning program.

CONDITIONING

Until football is done with their season, we have had trouble in the past finding a space to do preseason conditioning. This year, we will be conditioning at Aliamanu Field, which is at the top of Lawehana Street, the road that leads down to Target. This will allow us a consistent space that we can use as our own until football is done.

-  Conditioning will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and will start approximately 45 minutes after school ends. (M: 330 start, W: 215, F: 245) Conditioning will last for approximately 2 hours.

-  An updated physical and signed consent form are needed to participate in conditioning.

-  Conditioning is completely OPTIONAL, and in and of itself does not guarantee playing time or a spot on the JV or Varsity team. However, it will likely improve any girl’s chances and is an opportunity to get a head start on fitness and what we will be teaching.

-  Conditioning is not an official school activity. Coach Sheri and Coach Ryan will be supervising conditioning, but will not be held liable for any injuries that should occur. In the case of an injury, we will do our best to treat the injury, or will drive the injured girl back to the school to the trainer’s office if necessary. In case of emergency, you will be contacted based on the information provided on the signed consent form and ambulance will be called if needed.

-  Please pick up your girl in a timely manner after conditioning. The coaches will wait at the park with any girls for around 15-30 minutes after conditioning ends. If any girls are not picked up by then, we will walk with them back to the school will take them to the student parking lot where they can be picked up.

I have read the letter above and acknowledge that conditioning is an optional and non-official program. In case of injury, I allow the coaching staff to treat the injury to their best of their abilities or to drive my girl back to the school to be treated by the school trainer. I release the coaching staff of any liability for any injury sustained during conditioning.
