Alaska Icebreakers Girls Hockey Club

Dear SAMPLE LETTER

A new hockey season is upon us, bringing many eager young skaters, and at least as many eager fans, to the rinks. With Alaska’s long winters hockey affords a healthy activity for children.

The Alaska Icebreakers Girls Hockey Club would like to invite YOU to become a major part of this hockey season by becoming a sponsor for an Alaska Icebreakers player. There are number of sponsorship opportunities available. Sponsors help pay for the costs of ice time and travel expenses. For a single player sponsorship of $250.00 we will:

·  Display a banner with your name and/or logo at all games and team events

·  Include your company name on our website, www.alaskaicebreakers.com

·  Provide you with a schedule of all of my games

·  Share with all players, parents and members of the Alaska Icebreakers and our parent organization, Alaska Girls and Women’s Hockey Inc., who you are and encourage everyone to do business with you whenever possible

·  Include your company name in a full page newspaper ad that will run at the end of the season to thank all of the hockey associations sponsors

·  Provide you with a personal thank you from your player

·  Provide you with a tax deductible donation

·  Respect your generosity and display good sportsmanship while using your company name throughout the season

Running a competitive youth hockey association each season requires many sponsors and volunteers working together. Sponsors are an important part of this effort. A players’ parents contribute through registration fees, ice fees, travel fee and volunteering time to the player’s team, UAF Hockey games activities and various fundraisers.

Hockey is a sport that is growing with greater numbers of young skaters joining teams each season. There are many talented young hockey players in the interior of Alaska. With the combined efforts and generosity of the sponsors, parents, players and coaches, the highest potential of each skater is being realized.

Thank you for considering sponsorship for our Alaska Icebreaker player.

Sincerely,

XXXX. XXXX, Hockey Dad
