Subject: Alaska - Additional Procedures

In addition to the current AK procedures, per AK DOI we need to comply with the following procedures:

  1. AK requires the SL registry wording be a minimum 10pt fontsize. The wording has recently been adjusted to eliminate the last sentence (as suggested by the AK DOI) and the font set at 10pt in both eCopy and JetFile. Please do not reduce the size of the eCopy stamp. You may enlarge it, but you must not reduce it. This stamp is of much more importance than the tax breakdown stamp and should be the bigger of the two when deciding where on the declarations page to insert each of the stamps. If the stamp doesn’t fit on the declaration page, then please add a blank page behind the declaration page and add the stamp to that page.
  1. If there are multiple carriers involved in a single policy, you must disclose the carriers’ info to Compliance by emailing them at the time of filing, along with their respectivepremiums / percentages. For instance, if you have a policy split between Lloyd’s (25%) and Navigators (75%), then please make sure to include this information.
  1. If the policy is a multi-state risk, then please disclose all the locations (city and the state) at the time of filing to Compliance. This applies to endorsements as well.
  1. When putting the tax breakdown stamp on a declaration page and endorsements, please ensure you list all applicable information, including the premium. In the recent audit, we found that premiums were left blank. Even though the premium is mentioned on the declaration page, you must still input it on the breakdown stamp.

A link to the above information, as well as AK filing FAQs and other information will be added to TIBS in the near future.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
