FY17Kids Bowl Free

The Kids Bowl Free (KBF®) membership is free for each child 15 years and under. They must sign-up via and fill in all fields to obtain KBF®Coupons. The promotion will offer coupons for 2 free games of bowling per day for the duration of the program; emailed to each member. Members may use the coupon on any electronic device or print the coupon for presentation to the center.

KBF® will provide each AF bowling center a specific code to be used in conjunction with member’s coupon. The center’s code will be manually typed into the electronic device; printed coupons will need to be collected by the cashier. Theelectronic transaction will be sent directly to the KBF® Dashboard for reporting and tracking purposes, printed coupons are not tracked in the KBF® Dashboard. Free game coupons should be reported with physical coupons and a detailed report is printed from the KBF® Dashboard to account for free games redeemed according to local resource management requirements.

Each family will have the opportunity to purchase a “Family Pass” directly from for $28.95 that allows 4 additional family membersover the age of 15 to receive coupons for 2 freegames of bowling per day all summer. The “Family Pass” is limited to 4 guests and may only be used while bowling with the KBF® member. Each location will receive $14.50for each Family Pass purchased. The rebate will be paid to each center directly from Kids Bowl Free® in July and again in September.

Overview

The intent of this program is to increase open play by incentivizing participation during off-peak hours. The duration of the program will be from 1 May – 4 September 2017 as these are considered off-peak months for bowling. Individuals should pay for shoe rental every time they bowl.

Additionally,

  • Centers will receiveKBF® promotional materials directly from Bowling Business Builders International (BBBI).
  • KBF® Memberswill receive a daily coupon for 2 free games per day for the duration of the program.
  • Family Passmemberships may be purchased on for $28.95 to add up to 4 additional family members allowing 2 free games per day for each while bowling with the original KBF® member.
  • All Bowling Centers will be registered for the KBF® program and will receive up to a $1,000 incentive from the AFSVA/SVPCR Bowling Program for completing the After Action Report and meeting the requirements listed in section D.

Rules of Engagement

A.KBF Bowling Center membership

Bowling Center managerswill honor the KBF® coupon and report it through the Dashboard provided by BBBI and the KBF® program. KBF® coupon games will be recorded into the Qubica POS system using a separate button for tracking purposes and is automatically tracked through the KBF® dashboard that BBBI provides. Each additionally paid game should be recorded under a KBF® paid button in the Qubica POS system to allow for tracking of additional paid games bowled by the KBF® members for tracking and after action reporting procedures.

  • Children can sign-up for Kids Bowl Free® at no charge to the customer using the website.
  • The program will begin on 1 May and conclude on 4September.
  • Shoe Rental is an integral part of the program and should be charged at full-price each time the member uses their coupon. Kids Bowl Free® centers have produced more than $100 million in shoe rental since KBF® began.
  • Eligible patrons must be 15 years of age and younger for a KBF® membership. Family passes are for family members of the KBF® member and are to be redeemed only when bowling with the KBF® member. Each bowling center will receive a rebate for one-half of the total family passes paid towards that particular bowling center directly from BBBI in July at the conclusion of the program in September.
  • Additional Specials are highly encouraged to increase guest check amounts, increase snack bar sales, and build existing programs to include, but not limited to, Youth Leagues, Bowling 2.0, Glow bowling, and other kid/family related events and programs.

B.Additional programming

Recommend building KBF® enhancements including:

  • Specialized KBF® Snack bar menu to entice more snack bar sales during the KBF® visits.

Some ideas include a free drink with the purchase of nachos, hot dogs, corn dogs, French fries, daily lunch specials at a set, not to exceed price, i.e., hot dog, small fry and a small drink for $3.95, etc.

  • Birthday Party packages tailored to KBF® members as BBBI will send a Birthday Party reminder to all KBF® member parents 2 months and 1 month prior to their birthday. Recommend using the KBF® program to build your center’s birthday party business.
  • Consider building a “KBF® Value” menu similar to the famous “Dollar Menu” or “Value Menu”. Value added programs in conjunction with KBF® will increase overall sales.
  • Use bowling specials to entice KBF® members to bowl additional games i.e., $1.00 for each additional game, KBF® Birthday Party specials, and other membership benefits.

C.AFSVA will Fund

AFSVA will fund the cost of the following items:

  • Kids Bowl Free ® Bowling Center memberships to include the KBF® member database, marketing materials including customizable promo cards, door decals, marketing tips from BBBI, mobile coupon usage tracking system, year-round marketing help consultations, 2-month and 1-month birthday party reminders sent to each member’s parents, a free mobile KBF® App for the center’s customers, access to specially branded promotions designed to floor “Adult League Bowlers” and “Family Teams” at each center, and access to a well-tested Youth League Development Program from BBBI.
  • Each bowling center will receive up-to $1,000 from AFSVA after fully promoting and implementing KBF® and completing the required after action report and reporting procedures provided in Section D at the conclusion of the KBF® program.

D.after action reporting to afsva/svpcr bowling progam

An incentive bonus up-to $1,000 will be reimbursed by AFSVA/SVP to each AF bowling center that participates in the KBF® program and completes an after action report at the conclusion of the program.

  • The incentive will be based on the following memberships acquired at your bowling center:

16 Lanes and under

  • 50 Members = $250
  • 100 Members = $500
  • 150 Members = $750
  • 200 Members = $1000

Over 16 Lanes

  • 75 Members = $250
  • 125 Members = $500
  • 175 Members = $750
  • 225 Members = $1000
  • At the conclusion of the program send an after action report (provided by AFSVA) to the AFSVA/SVPCR Bowling Program to include the following:

Number of KBF® games redeemed

Number of additionally paid KBF member games bowled

Locally created specials that were used in conjunction with KBF® program

Number of KBF® members signed up through your bowling center

Number of Family Passes purchased for your bowling center
