After You Have Unpacked Your New Customer Pole Display You May Follow the Below Instructions

After you have unpacked your new Customer Pole Display you may follow the below instructions to install and begin using the Display. Find your operating system and follow the below instructions. If you have issues getting the Display to work as expected contact your Agile Ticketing Solutions Support Agent for assistance.

Windows 10

  • Windows 10 is the most user-friendly. All you should have to do is plug the Display into a USB Port and the system will automatically interface and install the necessary drivers
  • In Agile log into the Admin side.
  • In the upper-level, Settings folder click on Location and then Click on your Organizations name in the Location name.
  • Below that open up the specific terminal that you are installing this Display on.
  • In the new window that opens click on the Other Devices tab.
  • Enable the Customer Display and select the COM Port that the Display is assigned to. (This can be found in the computers Device Manager)

Windows 8

  • Windows 8 can require that you either follow the Windows 10 instructions or the Windows 7 instructions.
  • We suggest that you first attempt the Windows 10 set of instructions
  • If that does not work then follow the Windows 7 set of instructions

Windows 7

Before you begin please ensure you have either Administrator Permissions or your ITrepresentative with you.

  • Before the installation, open Device Manager from the same System menu as above. Check to see if the device is already listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
  • You will need to right click on the device and choose uninstall. Make sure to check the box for deleting the driver:

  • After this you will need to refresh device manger by going to Action>Scan for Hardware Changes
  • Once Windows recognizes the device, click the balloon message:
  • Then click on Skip obtaining driver software from Windows Update:

  • If done correctly, you will see the device listed as Unknown Device in the device manager:

  • Download this file and when you open click the "Y" until you see the pictured image in the following step
  • During the installation of the driver you will have the option to use True USB or Virtual COM.
  • Install Virtual COM click on Install Simulation to COM port USB Driver then Execute.

  • If prompted choose Install driver software anyway and wait while the driver installs.

  • Confirm in device manger under the Ports node for the device and COM port number. Use this COM port number in Agile.

  • In Agile log into the Admin side.
