EmiratesAdvance Seat Reservation Policy

Dear Industry Partner,
Last October, we launched our Advance Seat Reservation Policy(ASRP) in emirates.com and in response to strong demand from our agency community we have been working with our GDS partners to deliver same functionality to the community. We are now delighted to announce that from 8th February 2017, we will launch with Galileo. Our other GDS partners will follow shortly.
Payment can be done via an Electronic Miscellaneous Document -A, per passenger(s) multiple coupon with a unique issuance code (i.e. RFISC code - 0B5)
Travel agents should contact GDS provider to obtain any additional training and specific questions related to this matter.
Alternatively, advance seating functions, seats selection and payment can be done using "Manage My Booking" on
Emirates implements a charge for advance seat selection on Economy Class Special (RBDs V,X) and Saver fares (RBDs T,L,Q,N).
- Advance Seat Reservation is complimentary when online check-in opens, from 48 hours before departure
- Charges are per passenger, per segment
- Advance Seat Reservation charges are non-transferable.
- Advance seat selection is only available on or after ticket purchase.
The charges are highlighted below:
Haul / Sector / Charge
Short / Between Dubai and the GCC, the Middle East & Iran, West Asia and Indian Ocean / KWD 4
Medium / Between Dubai & Europe, the Far East & Africa / KWD 8
Long / Between Dubai & Americas, Australia & New Zealand / KWD 12
5th Freedom* / *5th Freedom is a sector where we fly between two foreign countries.
For example : Singapore-Melbourne, New York-Milan / AED 50
Child discount of 50% applies on the above charges.
Exemptions:
1.Tickets purchased on or before 3rd October 2016 are exempted.
2. Depending on their tier, Emirates Skywards members may be entitled to complimentary Advance Seat Reservation at ticketing on all Emirates fares and classes of travel, as follows:
a) Emirates Skywards Gold, Platinum and IO (invitation only) members: free seat selection for all passengers in the same Passenger Name Record (PNR).
b) Emirates Skywards Silver member: free seat selection for Silver members only
. c)Adults travelling with an infant: free seat selection for all passengers in the same PNR
d)Group PNRs (with RBD G): free seat selection for all passengers in the PNR
